Sapnap P.O.V

I started down the hallway in the direction of puffy's office, something crossed my mind: that person...I never saw them leave

As I came up on the same darkened hallway, I quietly rounded the corner and slowly walked to the door, uncovering the blade of the sword as I got closer.

Just incase

I put a hand on the cold door pull: okay...1...2...3!

....it's locked!?!?

I fiddled with the doorpull every which way, but it wouldn't budge. 

But how? This is impossible, they opened it earlier.....right?

The truth was it was so dark, I could barely see., and my eyes were wet from adrenaline which blurred my vision even more.

Did I imagine it? Where they not really there?...

Defeated, I recovered the blade of the sword and continued on, just wanting to give her her sword and go.

I approached the office door and knocked lightly, but no response. After a minute, I opened the door only to find the room empty.

I'll just leave it here I guess

I walked to her desk, which was covered in a mess of papers and quills, and scanned for a spot to set the sword. As I did something caught my eye: a decorative piece of stationary with large cursive writing. I didn't mean to read it, but the letters were so clear and big I couldn't ignore it.

"To the Residual Commanders of Las Nevadas,

In spite of the recent tragic events at the welcome ball, Corinth still seeks to pursue business and establish an alliance with the kingdom of Las Nevadas.

Events? Does that mean what happened with karl and the prince?...what I did?

I felt hot and sick to my stomach; I kept reading

I understand that time is needed to sort things out, but I implore you that this is something Las Nevadas should not pass up, lest you want to run into more problems. Should Las Nevadas decline this proposal , I am afraid that--" The writing stopped abruptly.

Afraid of what? Did I cause something? Is the King of Las Nevadas mad? oh god oh god OH god what have I done no no no no no--

"Sapnap?"

No One's P.O.V

Sapnap shot backward from the desk to see puffy in the doorway.

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to frighten you" she laughed, walking toward sapnap

Sapnap stood unable to move or speak. Puffy's smile faded as she reached him

"You don't look well. Are you still sick? Someone told me-"

"I'm okay...I'm okay: just startled" sapnap tried to calm down

"Are you sure? You don't seem--" puffy stepped forward, reaching a hand out
