{Percy POV}

Ok, I am SO done with this. Oh, wait, you don't know what I'm talking about. Let me start at the beginning....

It all started the day Jack came to camp. He was at the top of Half Blood hill, cowering behind a tree while a hydra was spewing fire everywhere. I alerted campers, ran up the hill, and attacked the monster. I managed to kill it, but now I had a bunch of nasty scars. I sat against a tree as Jack took my sword, and shouted to the crowd of approaching campers that he defeated the hydra and I just sat there, smirking. Now that's just the start. It turns out he's my younger brother and he's extremely arrogant.

For the next few weeks, he's been turning my friends against me. Katie blames me for trampling her plants, the Stolls hate me because I supposedly stole all their prank supplies, and Piper, Jason, Hazel, and Frank blame me for my nosebleed that basically started the apocalypse. The only ones that stuck by me were Grover, Thalia, Reyna, Nico, Annabeth, and Clarisse. Thalia and Nico were away, so that led me with a small group of friends.

Then one day, I cracked. I was walking along the beach, and I stumbled upon Jack and Annabeth making out.

"Oh, Annabeth," he had said. "When are you going to break up with my lame excuse of a brother?"

"Soon, Jack. I will soon," she had said, between breaths of their kisses.

 I marched right up to them, with hurt evident in my eyes. "Annabeth, how could you?" I croaked out. "I thought you weren't the kind of person who would cheat and not even care about anyone's feelings except their own. I guess I was wrong." I started to walk away, but all I could hear was Annabeth calling for me to come back.

Pretty soon, it was time for dinner. I sat at my table alone, while Jack was sitting at the Athena table, being spoon fed by Annabeth. The atmosphere was calm; the sound of light laughter and the clinking of glasses ran through my ears as the sweltering of the sacrificial fire in front of the tables burned bright. The radiance of the fire was no match for the sudden bright flash that occurred just before us, meaning that the gods had just appeared.

 "Dad!" I exclaimed when Poseidon looked at me. "What're you doing here?" He looked at me, anger and hatred blazing in his eyes.

"Don't call me that," he roared, glaring at me. "You have been accused of aiding Gaea in the Giant War. "

 I spit out my food. "What?! You out of all the gods should know that I would never do that."

He glared at me. "I know you did. So, I, the god Poseidon, hereby disown you as my son, and you are to leave Camp Half Blood immediately."

I'm not sure if my jaw dropped or not. "Well, if that's what you want, then fine then." I stormed out of there, ignoring the smirk on Jack's face and the sympathetic looks I was getting from Hades, Apollo, Hestia, and Aphrodite. I gathered all the essentials I needed, such as shirts, money, and spare weapons, such as swords and daggers. I decided to leave Riptide behind, since that would pain me every time I looked at it, and I decided not to bring ambrosia or nectar, since I am not a demigod anymore. I trudged up Half Blood Hill, took one last look at the camp, and left. No one had noticed that the fire had died.

I was living on the streets for the next few weeks. Mom and Paul decided to move to Florida, so I couldn't stay there. I was so busy fighting monsters, that I couldn't even get a break. Eventually, I passed out...

Yes! I'm finally publishing my first chapter! Well, this is my first time writing a story that has a common prompt. I'm still a little naive at writing these type of stories, but I'm sure I'll manage. Bye! ~DINOCORN
