What if I...? (What if We...? Part 2)

It's been a week since EJ accidentally came out to the entire school, and the comments about it on the halls didn't wait to start. Everyone started talking about how one of the most popular guys in the entire school turned out to be gay, most of the school were cool with it, and didn't talk too much about it after 2 days, some were still shocked about it and kept talking even after a week. 

Sadly there just a few that couldn't believe "how low EJ fell"some boys trying to convince him that he's just confused and just needs to be with a girl to realize, and very few girls kept trying to get with him even after hearing EJ coming out, thinking they could get rid of "the gay in his body". He simply ignored all of them, and went on with his day, but the thing that's affecting him is that he feels that Ricky is acting different towards him, and he can't understand why...

Right now, EJ is sitting alongside Ashlyn and some of their friends simply talking about random stuff and how they want the auditions to start already, everything was pretty normal until they saw Ricky and Nini walking towards another table in the middle of the cafeteria smiling. EJ's heart cracked seeing the two of them, since he thought that they were now dating or at least getting to know each other better.

Ashlyn tried to comfort his cousing knowing what he was thinking, she wasn't having a lot of success since it did get to him very much, and was about to walk away from the cafeteria, if it wasn't for...

Ricky: EJ! could you come over here please?

EJ hesitantly went towards him, since he didn't want to hear his best friend/crush say something about how Nini and him started dating, cause he knew he would break right there and wouldn't be able to hold back.

EJ: what's up Ricky? *avoiding eye contact*

Ricky: I have something very important to say to you... *low voice* and maybe the entire school *slightly looks to Nini who was smiling*

If EJ didn't like being there after seeing them walk into the cafeteria, he now hated being there after seeing how they were acting, but he tried to remain strong, because he's still his best friend, so he would support him no matter what, even if it meant seeing him with someone else.

Ricky: *stands on the table* CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE?! 

Everyone who was passing by the cafeteria, or was eating at that moment, stopped and looked towards Ricky, Nini and EJ.

Ricky: I HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY, TO SOMEONE IMPORTANT TO ME, WHO WAS RECENTLY BIG NEWS HERE!

EJ looked to Ricky a bit confused, his mind kept thinking stuff like: "why would he want the whole school to know that he was gonna tell me that he and Nini are dating, or are about to date"

Ricky: EJ, before I say anything, I need you to keep quiet until I finish, ok?

EJ simply nodded with a confused look on his face

Ricky: *breathes* ...I'm usually not good with words, but I knew it would happen for when I had to do this, which I honestly didn't think would happen so soon, I originally planned it to do it in a couple weeks, but I can't hold back anymore... everytime I look those beautiful eyes of yours, I can't help but to get lost in them, the way you treat others just leaves me fascinated, since I originally thought you were one of those jocks that only cared about popularity or their looks or how many girls they slept with, but after being forced to interact with you by SOMEONE *glares at Nini* I got to know more about you, and with time I knew that I was completely wrong about you.

EJ's eyes were starting to tear up due to what Ricky said, Nini and Ashlyn were proudly looking at both of them, Nini due to seeing their plan was going great and Ashlyn due to understanding that EJ was being corresponded.

Ricky: *grabs EJ's hands* I really don't have a lot of things to say left, I was serious about me not being good with words *both of them chuckle* which is why I had to ask for help on the next part.

EJ didn't understand what he meant, but he then saw Seb appearing out of nowhere with a keyboard and handed it to Nini (I hope you know what type of keyboard I mean )

Ricky: I really needed to tell you this EJ because I knew holding it back wouldn't help at all, so I took the "risk" and decided to tell you how I feel.

In that moment, tears were going down EJ's face while his face was blushing, the tears were because he couldn't hold them back anymore, and the blush was because he realized that Ricky heard him in the auditorium.

Ricky: And I know we're just friends... but...

*Nini starts playing*

What if our tomorrow means that we are here together?
What if we are taking chances just to lose it all?
Am I really crazy thinking 'bout this all together?
Or have I been missing the writing on the wall?

*Nini stops playing*

EJ felt happy that instant, knowing that Ricky felt the same way he did, and a smile started to appear in his face, as the tears kept going down. Meanwhile, everyone else who was watching were in shock at the fact that Ricky had just confessed he liked EJ, which obviously got the same reactions for when EJ came out, the only ones different were from the people who tried to convince EJ he was confused, because they were know giving death glares at Ricky

Ricky: so what do you say EJ? would you be my boyfriend?

EJ: YES!

EJ immediately lifted Ricky and spun him around a few times, then placed him gently back on the floor, both of them looking into each others eyes... and then kissed in front of the whole school.

Everyone started cheering and clapping due to the new couple, while the girls that tried to get with EJ were very mad and left making a tantrum. A few seconds later, EJ and Ricky stopped kissing but remained close to each other, having their foreheads connected.

EJ: so you heard me in the auditorium?

Ricky: yeah, I didn't mean to but I saw you and Ashlyn talking so I didn't want to interupt, but hearing you say you liked me surprised me... at least it helped me by giving me a boost on the decision I made and have it done sooner than intended... Now look at us *smiles*

EJ smiled at that, he obviously would've preferred for Ricky to not hear it, but he's glad that it ended up helping in the end.

EJ: ...I love you Ricky

Ricky: I love you too EJ

They kissed again without any worry or fear about what anyone else would say, it was just the two of them enjoying the fact that they were now boyfriends.

So this is the second part, which was also inspired by another tiktok that was made by the same guy, it only had a tiny bit of the song used for this one, but, once again, I dedcided to extend it.

I liked how this one came out, I like to think that I'm slowly but surely getting better at this... but I know I could still improve in some ways.
