Just Open Up {Sal Fisher x Reader}

Start from the beginning

I felt him wipe away my tears before placing his hands on my cheeks. "(Y/n), look at me." I slightly shake my head, earning a sigh from him. "Please look at me." I hesitantly open my eyes and look right at him. I stared into his eyes as I tried to ignore the small distance between us. "(Y/n), I love you too. I have for a while now. When Ash left I was sad, but not devastated like I thought I would be because I thought I loved her. I learnt that I had liked her, but there was someone else who had captured my heart. That person is you."

I didn't know how to register what he told me. I just stared at him, silently figuring out what to say to him. Especially with this new information. "Really?" I asked quietly, fear lightly lacing the word. "Yes. I love you (Y/n)." A smile slowly made its way onto my lips as I placed my hands on top of his. I enjoyed the new found feeling consuming me. Soon tears of joy formed and escaped my eyes. This seemed to confuse Sal as the tears hit our hands. "Why are you crying now?" I remove his hands from my cheeks before wiping away my tears. "I'm just so happy. I... I've dreamt of hearing you saying that you love me, but I never expected to ever hear it because of my fear of losing you." He places his forehead on mine while his arms wrapped around my body, pulling me close to him. "Now your dream is a reality." Despite the prosthetic face he wears I could tell he is smiling at me.

"Oh come on! You can't tell me that Sal hasn't taught you how to play the guitar." I roll my eyes. "Ash, I've never asked and I prefer to watch him play anyway. Before you say 'but you'd get to be super close to him', if I want to be close to him I just ask for cuddles." She softly laughs as she nods. "Man, you've got him whipped for you." I roll my eyes as I look at Todd. "He is not whipped for me Todd. He simply loves me." I say, a smile instantly appearing on my face when I say that Sal loves me. "You two are so whipped for each other." Todd says as he shakes his head. I throw the pillow from the couch at my cousin. He dodges the pillow and it hits Sal as he and Larry enter the living room. "Well that's one way to greet your boyfriend." Larry says jokingly. "Sorry Sal, I didn't mean to hit you. I was aiming for Todd's head." Sal just shrugs as he picks up the pillow from the floor. "It's fine (Y/n)." He says as he walks over to me, handing the pillow back as he sits down beside me.

"Oh! I have a thing that starts in a bit so I have to go, but I'll see you all later!" Ashley says before getting up from her seat. She left before any of us could get a word out. "Todd, don't you and Neil have a date tonight?" Todd's eyes widened, clearly just now remembering about the date. "Oh shit! I almost forgot! I have to go get ready!" He says before quickly going up to his room. We laugh as he runs off, but we're interrupted by Larry's cell going off. "I've got to take this, it's my mom." He says, going outside to answer the call. Leaving Sal and I alone. "Well it's just the two of us. Unless you have somewhere else to be." I say as I turn to face my boyfriend. He shakes his head as he wraps his arms around my waist. "All I need is right here with me." I giggle softly. "That's good to know." I snuggle into his chest, the two of us laying down on the couch.

I smile as I bury my face in the crook of his neck, slowly becoming tired. I briefly hear Todd come downstairs while saying something that I don't catch. Not long after I hear Larry return and talk with Sal. They talked about their parents, but I soon drifted off that I didn't hear their whole conversation. When I woke up I found I was still snuggled up to Sal on the couch. I moved a bit, but stopped when I felt him slightly move as if I was about to wake him. Luckily he relaxed. Carefully I sat up, the best I could with his arms wrapped around me. Seeing his face confirmed he had fallen asleep. That's when my brain registered that he wasn't wearing his prosthetic face. I froze in surprise. This was the first time I got to see it. I've wanted to see it, but I never asked because I didn't want to make him uncomfortable.

I slowly moved closer to his face, careful to not wake him. I inspected the scarring on it, finding nothing wrong with it. I hesitantly place a hand on his cheek, gently feeling the texture of the skin. It felt a bit rougher than the skin on his hands, but I didn't care. I still found him handsome. Of course I didn't fall for Sal for his looks, I fell for him for just being himself. I had been so wrapped up in admiring his face that I didn't notice that he woke up. At least not until his hand grabbed mine, pulling it away from his face. I look from my hand to his eyes. I saw the fear that they held despite him not showing it anywhere else. "Sal, honey, you look handsome. I-" I stopped talking when I noticed the frown as he turned his head slightly, almost as if he was trying to hide his face. "You don't have to lie to me. I know I look-"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence Sal Fisher. You are, have been and always will be handsome. If you can't see that then I'll just have to show you." I say as I pull my hand out of his grasp. I cup his cheeks and make him look at me. "I love you Sal, scars and all. Nothing will ever change that." Before he could interject or tear himself down I smashed my lips into his. This caught him, as well as myself, off guard since I'm not one to be this forward. He took a second to get over the surprise before returning the kiss. As we're kissing Sal flips us over so he's on top, which causes me to gasp a little from the sudden shift in positions. Though that gasp doesn't stop our makeout session.

What does is Sal pulling away a bit, concern written on his face. "We're not going too fast for you, right?" I couldn't help the smile that appeared on my face. "You're such a gentleman, but no we're not going too fast. I'll let you know if we need to slow down." I tell him as I wrap my arms around his neck, playing with his hair. "Now where were we?" He smiles and kisses me. This kiss is soft and gentle, but slowly gets rougher. Whenever we needed air we'd pull away for air only to continue our cycle of kissing.

I did bring it to an end when things started to get more heated than it already was. I gently placed my hands on Sal's chest and pushed against it. He pulled away and gave me a concerned look. "I think we should stop before we go past just kissing." He nods as he relaxes. We sit up as he pulls me close. He opens his mouth to say something, but the front door opens and Larry rushes in. I look at him as Sal buries his face into the crook of my neck. "You okay Larry?" I ask as glance at Sal, sensing he was hiding his face on purpose. "Yeah! Just- Why is Sally hiding his face in your neck?" I gently place a hand on Sal's head. "Well he was just about to put his face back on before you came rushing in, but he didn't have the chance." Larry's eyes widened in surprise, mostly from Sal showing me his face. "Oh. Well he can put it back on now if he wants."

Sal slowly removes his head from the crook of my neck. Larry has seen his face before, but Sal is still self conscious about it. I look at Sal and smile. "Handsome." I say which causes Sal to blush. "Ask them if they've kissed." I roll my eyes as I look at Katlyn. "We can hear you." She looks at me in surprise. "Oh. Well did you?" I sigh softly. "Still as annoying as ever. Yes we've kissed. Now no more questions on our relationship Kate." I'm sure if she had pupils she'd be rolling her eyes. Katlyn hovers around Larry. "She's no fun." Larry laughs as he looks at the ghost girl. "At least I'm fun, right?" She nods as smiles at Larry. "Loads of fun! You make me feel so alive." I shake my head as I smile softly. "You two are such dorks."
