So from what I've heard from you guys, a few more chapters is fine before we do a time skip.  Well, probably two more chapters until then.  Anyway, the only reason I had Naruto acting odd is because I was bored, tired, and probably shouldn't be writing right now.  That, and the chapter seemed too boring.  It actually is going to be important though, cause they're going to talk, and we'll find out the reason for the time skip!

I just got back to the library.

Here, I'll let you guess what I saw...

Naruto smiling when he sees me, the librarian smiling also, and everything normal, or...

The sand roof on fire, broken windows, door hanging on it's hinges and shelves and books all over.

Please, guess.

Naturally, Naruto is nowhere in sight.

Sadly for him, I have my sense of smell.

It's very easy to track him to the edge of the village, the worse part.

My pupils are very large by the time I find him, I don't want to be here.

He's sitting in a tree, facing away from me.

I jump, landing beside him softly.

"I told you to wait."

He jumps slightly, falling out of the tree.

I lie down on my stomach, looking down at him.

Naruto just sits there, looking up at me stupidly.

"How'd you find me so fast? I left an hour ago..."

I tap my nose, raising an eyebrow.

"Cat woman, remember?"

He scratches the back of his head, laughing awkwardly.

"Soo... We're gonna go see Gaara now, aren't we?"

I slip down, standing in front of him.

"Well, are you done copying your scrolls?"

He nods.

"Then I stayed with you the whole time, and we left six hours ago. It's time for dinner, let's go."

Naruto's mouth is hanging open, he doesn't follow as I walk away.

I turn around, sighing.

"Are you coming or not? This place isn't a great place to be after dark."

His mouth opens and shuts a few times before he gives up and just follows me.

When we get home, he still hasn't said anything.

From the look on Temari, Kankuro and Gaara's faces, this isn't normal.

He sits on the couch silently, they all look at me.

"Uh... Kitten? Did something... happen?"

I look at him confusedly.

"Nothing. Nothing at all."

With a thud, I fall forward.

"Onee-chan! You're home!"

Did I forget to mention the happy cat boy glomping me?

"Head... On... Floor..."

There's the headache I've been waiting for.

Can't say I'm not happy to see him though, he's adorable.

I lift my head up, resting it on my fist.

Temari and Kankuro are snickering, so is Ichiji, who just showed up.

Naruto's staring again, he then passes out.

Everyone jumps as he hits the floor.

"Is he sick?"

"Is he dead?"

I sigh, shaking off the now limp Ko.

"Nope. I just gave him to much contradiction for his brain to handle."

Apparently, his veiw of me was not that good to begin with.

There's a blow to the old ego.

It's such a shock to his brain that he passed out.

I didn't know I was being quite that mean.

Hmm, not my fault.

I pull his arm over my shoulder and take him to the room Gaara had whipped up.

When I get back, no one has really moved.

"Soo... dinner?"

Everyone agrees, so... food.

Dinner goes quickly and quietly, suprizing for so many people.

Seven people at one table, and no one has anything to say.

I wash the dishes, before bending down to talk to Ko.

"I want you to stay with Naruto tonight. Tell me if anything happens, okay?"

He nods, racing off.

I go to bed before Gaara does, unable to fall asleep.

When I hear the door click shut softly, I shuffle, trying to look at him.

"Gaara?"

In a split second, I'm pinned under him, his hands on either side of my head.

For a moment, I'm frozen, staring at his chest.

Then I look into his eyes, filled with that darker-than-love emotion.

My face heats, before he presses a burning kiss to my lips and I loose all thought.
