"Welcome one and all." said a deep male voice. I looked around but all I saw were other people with the same attire as mine. A gray overall with a number on the right side of the suit. New white tennis shoes were on my feet and I knew very well that I couldn't have owned shoes that were so expensive. I don't know where the hell I was and why the hell I am here to begin with. The last thing I remember was a group of Guards knocking me out after they chased me down through an abandoned amusement. I remember that an old man had ratted me out for something I had nothing to do with, I ran and ran and when I thought I was safe, I was far from it. I didn't get to fight back when I was already down for the count, and now I'm waking up to a large room with a whole bunch of strangers looking as clueless as I did.

"I know that you are all wondering why you're here. Congratulations! You've been sold to us welcome to your new life." said the voice far too energetic, clearly not reading the room. I saw everyone's confused face as they looked around for the source of the voice as well, but I figured that they were coming from the speakers placed all around the area.

"You belong to the Twin Daggers Society now." he said, I saw the panic on most people's faces. Everyone knows who and what the twin dagger society is. Everyone avoided it like the pledge, if you were part of it you basically signed your own death certificate. I've heard that in the twin daggers you have to fight to stay alive, that means taking life to make sure you keep yours. You were never safe no matter who you decided to surround yourself with. People from around the world paid to watch you fight for your life, I thought it was sick that some people would pay to see this. They all thought that it was part of the act, but I knew better when I had unintentionally lingered close enough to the compound and witnessed the countless amount of corpses piled up together, as if that wasn't enough to overturn my stomach, I had stumbled upon the drainage system and it was pure blood, not one ounce of water could be spotted in that mess of crimson red liquid. It made me sick to my stomach, I knew from the very first moment I saw the bodies that this place was hell reincarnated in one place.

Countless amount of people around me began dropping to their feet, with their hands covering their faces as they shed silent tears. Others were less discrete about their feelings as they outwardly started to scream and yell. I was scared for my damn life but I wasn't going to let my emotions get the better of me. I knew the same thing that everyone else knew,

Once you're in, there is no way out.

The only way you can possibly make it out alive is if you rise in the ranks, once you've done that, people in the lower ranks will know better then to challenge you. I knew that my life would be at risk everywhere I went, relying on myself was the only option, relying on others would be like placing a beefy piece of meat in front of a lion and expecting it not to go for it.

"How lucky you all are to be a part of the Twin Dagger family." said the cheerful male voice breaking me out of my dazed state. There was nothing good about being a part of this so called family. Your life is never guaranteed the next day. There was trembling on the ground and then I noticed that there was a wall now adorned with knives and daggers when there wasn't one before. A glass wall shielding it keeping it away from our reach. Then on the very far wall there was a huge opening, and on top of it read Exit, it blew my mind how I hadn't spotted that earlier. It wasn't an ordinary exit, under the exit sign was a number 0 on a large screen. Under the screen was the opening, it reached out into a long dark hall. Right in front of the hall was a huge gap, and there was a glass bridge that seemed to fit 4 people if they stood side by side. The glass railings attached to it seemed too thin to look safe enough to grab ahold of. There was a dark abyss under the bridge and in that very moment I knew that a large amount of us were going to die.

"Here is your first challenge. There is a very long ditch and your exit. If you reach that exit you have guaranteed your survival until tomorrow. The bridge is the only way across, but if you fall over there are spikes greeting you at the bottom. Your as good as dead if you aren't careful as you cross." There was a long pause of eerie silence. "There are six hundred of you currently in this room, but only fifty percent of you are allowed to pass through the exit. Once the three hundred make it past that exit the bridge will collapse and anyone still on it when it collapses, will perish. Your abilities have been disabled and you won't be able to use them for the time being. You have to make it past the lasers to be able to get to the bridge. The fight till tomorrow starts now!" as soon as he stopped talking the glass to the weapons rose allowing the weapons to be attainable.
