I drew you n the same canvas for years,
The marks I have made faded only for me to make new ones,
I tried to hide my art,
Some saw through,
Some had to read my written mind,

When they found out,
They didn't really know,
They don't know all the lies I used to cover,
Or the truth they could not handle,

Don't ask me why I drew,
I can't always tell you,
I'm still not a clean canvas,
Afraid I never will be,

Don't act like you care now,
When you didn't then,
I'll be alright,
If I wasn't I would've slashed right through,
My canvas long ago,
Just love me and know I love you.
