He didn't notice you when you first stepped inside the classroom. Bakugo was too distracted by the thought of Midoriya being in the same hero class as he was. He hated it, mainly because this quirkless nerd suddenly gets a powerful one and also grabbing the spotlight that was supposed to be only his.

He should have been the only one in their school to be accepted in UA High but here comes that loser Izuku Midoriya getting that 7th spot in rankings.

You did notice him though - after all he placed first on the hero exams. You enrolled by recommendation as your mother is one of the most famous heroes in your city. You were placed in Class I-A and was actually walked to the classroom by the Principal himself.

You were the first one to be there and the blond boy carelessly took the seat next to you - he told you when you started dating that he actually picked the spot for the window.

This became your seating arrangement for the year, much to your displeasure. Katsuki Bakugo was already so troublesome that your future class representative, Iida Tenya, had to constantly remind him to keep his feet off the table.

The blond however was quite the menace, keeping his feet up to tease the strict Iida.

"Maybe the top one doesn't understand simple instructions after all." Were the words that made Bakugo take notice of you. He had growled at you, threatening to kill you and blast you into pieces but you kept your cool. You had the audacity to laugh at him, as if you were simply dealing with a young child.

He hated you for that.

But you proved yourself to be quite the adversary as you blocked your classmates from his words. He had something to say about Kirishima's shitty hair? You make a comment about how his hair reminded you of a pomeranian. He tells Midoriya off for his poor excuse of a quirk? You block him off with words about his poor excuse of a face.

You were simply playing with him though, finding it so easy to turn the tables with him. Bakugo was too obvious, too readable, and too predictable.

Apparently, Bakugo took it to heart. He hated you.

As much as he hated you though, he found your presence irritatingly close by. Bakugo wanted to be alone, he knew friends won't help him in his goal to reach number one but that damn Kirishima and Kaminari kept on tailing him. Soon enough, Sero was in the mix.

And then Mina.

And then you.

You remember exactly why you suddenly started to hang around Bakugo's small group (at that time, he was still on denial and refused to acknowledge them as friends). You adored your four classmates' fun energy, Mina's especially.

It was inevitable to be included in his circle since they were almost always with Bakugo.

That was when your great war turned into mere classroom bickering. He would say something that would irritate you and you would retort something back. It became such a usual occurrence that Mr. Aizawa has managed to learn how to ignore you and Bakugo.

He disliked that your quirk was so damn powerful. Like that blasted half and half, you were blessed with an elemental quirk. One of the classics. You were able to create and manipulate water. From the start, you could control it with ease and you continued to progress every single time. You were untouchable in matches and the only reason you didn't manage to grab a place in the Sports Festival was because you fell asleep before the third round began.

You, however, admired him for his control over his quirk. As much as you disliked how he felt all high and mighty, Katsuki Bakugo is simply one of the best. He was good at everything he sets his mind to and every time you watched him perform, he would always surprise you with his improvement.

You two were able to come into a mutual respect during your first sparring match in Mr. Aizawa's class. The match ended in a tie, making him yell at you everyday for the two weeks that followed for a rematch.

And then, the results of the midterms came. Bakugo found himself tied with you to the 3rd place.

He didn't see you as a bother now. You were on the same ground as he was. You were an equal. You were someone he had to beat to be able to be ranked one.

He couldn't forget the moment when he saw your worry-stricken face when he came back after being kidnapped by the League of Villains. Bakugo refused to speak about it, mainly because he blamed himself for the retirement of All Might, but he was really relieved when you tried to act like it didn't bother you. Instead, you went on pestering him as usual.

But he knew you were worried about him. Most of your friends were, to be honest, but everyone tried to move past it and went on a merrier path.

This is when Bakugo slowly called your small group his friends.

When your study sessions began because of your friends' low scores, Bakugo found you as an ally. Mina and Kaminari were so difficult to deal with on his own so having you around made everything so much easier. You were patient and you were able to help them with the difficult points in the lessons.

From being a weekly thing, these sessions became daily happenings.

Although you would admit that most of the time, you just end up laughing at whatever Kaminari gets in trouble for that day. Bakugo wouldn't say it aloud but he found himself relaxing whenever you guys would laugh at whatever crappy story is told.

And then that damn school dance. This is when he realized how he suddenly saw you in a different light. How you suddenly went from annoying to cute. How the two of you tried to hide your affection from each other, only to be announced by Kaminari. How he admitted about being confused for the first time in his life.

How you kissed him.

And how he kissed you.

This is the brief story that you and your Pro Hero husband Dynamight would tell the press if they ask how you met and how your love story began.

It wasn't ideal.

It wasn't romantic.

But like what Bakugo would always tell them, "I wouldn't have it any other way."
