Chapter 4. I'm not his or anyone's

"Wait so why is he so obsessed with you in the first place Aiko?" Jack inquired as they reached their base camp which was a bunch of tents surrounding a large bonfire that seemed to always be going on "Well to answer that would take too long after all its been years since me and him first met and around a year since me and him separated officially even though he won't accept that fact" she responded, "though he always had somewhat killing tendencies even back before we separated but back then it wasn't as intense as now. I almost regret separating when he's like this" she said before Mack and Jack walked off leaving only Kia and Aiko. "Where are they going?" Asked Aiko which exasperated a sigh from Kia as she would gesture for Aiko to follow her "they most likely went to try and find a way to get Mal back from your ex boyfriend as soon as possible" Kia said bluntly as she and Aiko would enter a tent that had a queen sized bed with a books ontop of some pillows and a jug of water next to it while the floor was decorated with a rug that had nothing but pure blue fabric that somehow made the outline of a small cat. Aiko would stare at the small cat and then focusing on Kia who would just flop onto the bed and sigh "you'll be staying with me for your short stay here alright? Don't get any ideas either I'm only doing this because anywhere else your at risk to get yoinked by that crazy ex" Kia said bluntly before tossing a blanket on the ground and a few pillows. Mal would be sleeping peacefully curled up in a blanket as Joe would rekindle a fire that seemed to have burnt out a few minutes ago, he would pat Mal's head before going outside to make on last check that no one had found his cave, taking a deep breath he would walk outside of the cave which he had made his home and Mal's yes he had basically kidnapped her but he never had bad intentions what he does have though is to figure out how she can see the pillars he purposefully refract light around them of course anyone could see them with a strong enough awareness but she was no older then 8 and no stronger then the Mack girl when he had made her ability useless against him. He had designed those pillars of flames to simply act as a way to raise the tempature of the area to a point he didn't have to worry if someone brought something to try and counter his flames since he had those in place, all he had to do was lead them to one of the flame pillars and activate it. The pink haired boy would stretch a bit before suddenly being on guard "great now I have to get rid of someone else!" He thought as he would look to his left only to be caught off guard by a powerful blow to his ribs sending him flying off the entrance of the cave, he would spit out a small amount of blood before refocusing and creating flames at his feet to help slow his sudden descent down, increasing the amount his flames were being sent out while also increasing the temperature, once his feet made contact with the ground they would quickly bring the speed at which he initially had been sent at the ground way down though it wasn't enough to stop him from still taking damage "tch..." He would look up to see a very buff and oversized man who had glowing green eyes and bright green hair that didn't go out farther then his ears while his skin seemed to shine like silver. Joe would have little time to react and do his best to propel himself back using his flames just barely avoiding the beasts ground slam that would send air pressure all around it quickly putting out his flames "Oh shit-" the pink devil would have tried to block one of the beasts powerful punches. Mal would slowly wake up and look around noticing Joe wasn't here she would smile "Light Refraction: Age 15" she said softly before her body began to give off a glow and would grow slightly larger, as the glow faded she would stretch and fall back on the bed and let out a soft groan of comfort as she stretched in bed and pulled the blanket back over her body "that younger form is so tiring! But since I'm alone I can relax in my normal form for a bit" She said to herself as she started to drift off again "so...relaxing..". The oversized beast would be barraging Joe with a flurry of punches that generated so much air pressure it didn't allow him to make his flames outside of his body, the beast would eventually stop after a final blow that would send the pink devil flying at a large boulder "fuck you too..." the pink haired teen muttered before he creating a large amount of flames around himself "here i come you oversized piece of shit!" He yelled out the beast only roaring in response before running towards the small pink target that seemed to have been greatly weakened from its initial attacks, with another roar it started to charge again this time each step it took would break the ground underneath it generating not knly a huge amount of air pressure underneath its feet but also powerful Shockwave that could be felt from even the cave not to mention the sound of the beasts stomps. Joe would create a large amount of flames before going to condense it inside of his body to protect them from the powerful amounts of air pressure that his opponent was emiting "Shut the hell up with them big ass stomps already! Mal is trying to sleep!" He said with a strong voice as his body began to give off a pink glow due to the flames he was keeping within his body, his hair would spike up a bit as his eyes began to give off a bright pink glow. Mal would be awoken by a loud and powerful BOOM that shook even the cave. Joe inhaled sharply before he launched at the beast before him only to be stopped by a strong force that wrapped around his body, the flames he had dispersed instantly and created a explosion around his body that didn't just effect his surroundings but also burnt parts of his arms and legs, he panted as he tried to move only now noticing that the beast was stopped along with him "Tch tch tch, you really have alot to learn don't you Joe?" A voice said as arms would wrap around the pink devil's waist "I know how much you hate being like this don't you? Like you finally went to take a breath and someone stopped you....so weak...so vulnerable....you hate this feeling more then anything else after all its what Aiko did to you" they continued as they would force Joe to look at them revealing their features. The voice that had spoken to Joe belonged to a male with bright spikey white hair that made his pale skin seem as bright and vibrant as the moon, the tempature around Joe started to rise as his eyes gave off a bright red glow "Ai.....ko...." he uttered while struggling against the telekinesis that the spikey white haired person had inflicted on them "What? She still on your mind? You pushed her away Mr Devil. Let her go already" the blue eyed skeleton said before slamming Joe on the ground multiple times "I see you were having fun fighting my little friend though she took a liking to your fighting spirit mostly so she wanted to see if you were the real deal mostly" they snickered as they would stomp on Joe's head. Aiko sighed as she laid on the ground with a few blankets softening the ground beneath her infact she seemed to almost be missing something as she turned away from Kia, the blonde sighed "so what happened between you two? You and the pink devil" She asked the wolf eared girl "to be honest...I was dated him for 3 years before realizing how bad he was, he always wanted to help people and whenever he got the chance he was like a kid that just beat their parents high scores on a game" She would chuckle before turning to be facing the very top of the tent "infact I miss the warmth he would give off, the way he could just talk...I had helped him with some bullies and after that it was like I had an unstoppable guardian angel who didn't let harm get to me" she said, she would exhale and look at her hands "he was the best I could've ever asked for. Even so we all know how good things go" "Well what had exactly happened between you two that caused separation?" Kia asked almost urging Aiko to get on with the story, she wasn't curious just she knew that Aiko needed someone to talk too "There was a rumor that he had cheated on me".
