chapter 22

"You have memories too?"
Thomas asked Alex.

"I-uh.. "
Alex stammered.
"It doesn't matter right now."

"Yes it dos-"
Thomas was cut off by Alex.
"Ever since I got here I've had these strange dreams."

Alex continued as Thomas rolled his eyes.

"At Least i thought they were dreams, but maybe there-"

"Memories."
Thomas finished for her.

"But you. You were in them, Teresa. You told me that everything was going to-"

"Change."
Alex cut in.

"What does that mean?"
Teresa asked.

"I don't know."
Thomas answered

"We only get bits and pieces."
Alex said.

"And the others don't remember anything?"
Teresa asked. She's like Thomas. Always asking questions.

"No."
"No."
The siblings said together.

"Why are we different?"
Thomas asked as he looked at his sister.

"......... these were in my pocket."

Teresa said as she pulled three vials of blue liquid out of her pocket. She handed one to each of the siblings.

"W.C.K.D."
Thomas said

"Wicked is good"
Alex said after.

"What if we were sent here for a reason?"
As Teresa said this an idea popped into the brother and sisters minds.

"Alby."
"Alby."
They said together.

When they got into the med-hut, Newt was already there. They explained their idea to him, but

"We don't even know what this stuff is. We don't know how to send it. Or why did it come up here with the girl."

Newt said as he looked at Alby. He had blue veins all over his abdomen. He was panting and he looked like he was in pain.

"For all we know this thing could kill him."

"It's not like it can get any worse, Newt."
Alex said. She knew he trusted her more than a couple of greenies.

"Alright. Fine."
Newt said as he handed Alex the vial.

She went over to Alby, along with her brother and Teresa.

Just as she was about to do it, Alby opened his eyes and lunged at her. He started to choke her when he suddenly went limp. Thomas looked over and saw that Teresa had injected Alby with the serum. As Alex looked over and saw,

"Thanks."
She said and patted Teresa on the back.

"Yeah. No problem."
She panted back.

"Well that worked."
Jeff said.

"Alright from now on, someone stays with him at all times."
Alex said.

"Hey."
Noah entered with Gally on his heels.

"Sun down greenie. it's time to go."

As he walked out Thomas followed. Alex is not too far behind. When they got to the pit Thomas jumped in first. Gally pulled Alex back.

"Hey. it's ok. Everything is going to be ok. I'll see you soon. I love you."
Alex reassured him.

"I love you too."
Gally hugged her one last time and helped her down in the pit.
