THE OPPOSITES (DRACO X Y/N)

The Mark

Y/n runs up to Draco and hugs him, but parts quickly.

Y/n: "Draco. Show me your mark."

Draco: "What- what are you talking about?"

Y/n: "I'm the brightest witch in our year, and you think I wouldn't know?"

Draco swallows.

Y/n: "I know you are one of them."

a silence.

Y/n: "I know you have no choice. Dray."

Draco: "You speak to me after weeks for this ?"

Y/n: "Says the guy because of whom WE ARE OVER!"

Draco swallows, and pulls his sleeve up.

Draco: "He trusts me! I was chosen!"

Y/n: "Draco.."

Draco: "I'm dangerous! STAY AWAY FROM ME! I'M VILE, COLD, AND A DANGER! JUST STAY AWAY!"

Y/n: "Draco. I'll make an unbreakable vow. just-"

Draco: "I CAN'T RISK YOUR LIFE! SCRAM!"

But Y/n noticed the quaver in his voice when he spoke this way.

Y/n: "Draco."

Draco: "GO AWAY!"

Y/n: "I-"

Draco: "LEAVE, BEFORE I CRUCIO YOU!"

Y/n runs away, heartbroken.

Draco: "Fvck my life."

TIME CUT TO LUNCH

Draco: "Granger. Where is Y/n?"

Hermione: "Why do you care, Malfoy?"

Draco: "Tell me where she is."

Hermione: "Maybe in a broomstick cupboard?"

Draco: "What?"

Hermione: "She had something secret? I mean, she wouldn't tell me, but I guess she's with Theo."

Draco: "Thanks for nothing."

Draco storms off to find Y/n.

He hears screams and follows them.

"You're pathetic! You're unlovable! You're ugly! You're stupid! You're boring!" Draco clearly recognizes this as Y/n's voice from a broomstick cupboard

Draco (crying) :"Y/n! OPEN THE DOOR! OPEN THE FVCKING DOOR!"

A blood curdling scream.

Draco: "JUST OPEN THE DOOR! PLEASE!!!"

Blood seeps out the door.

Draco (Screams) : "NOOOOO! NOOOOO! NOOO!"

Draco runs into the great hall, crying.

Draco: "POTTAH! POTTAH!"

Harry: "Leave me alone."

Draco: "Y/N! SHE NEEDS - HELP!"

Harry , Ron and Hermione follow Draco, wands at the ready.

Hermione uses a non-verbal charm to unlock the door. They find Y/n has passed out.

Ron: "She's still breathing."

Hermione: "We have almost 5 minutes."

Harry: "We'll never make it to Pomfrey in  time!"

Draco: "Leave this to me."

Draco picked up a rickety school broom, somehow seated Y/n onto the broom. He sat behind her, holding the broom with one hand, Y/n with the other.

Draco: "Meet me in the hospital wing."

Everyone nodded as Draco flew Y/n into the hospital wing, through an open window.

He tucked Y/n into an empty bed and began dosing her on wiggenweld potion.

Hermione: "Harry, get a strong healing potion- the strongest you can get from Slughorn. Ron, find Pomfrey. Real quick. I'll go find clues about what happened to Y/n. Malfoy, watch over y/n, and if she looks pale, give her a little more wiggenweld.

Harry: "You're trusting Malfoy with Y/n? We can't take the risk."

Hermione: "Harry."

Harry: "Remember, don't try anything funny."

Draco: "I won't."

Everyone rushes to the work Mione assigned.

Draco: "Y/n. Can you hear me?"

Draco sees her going cold. He thrusts more wiggenweld potion down her throat but it does not help.

Hermione rushes in, crying.

Hermione: "She - she consumed a deadly poison found in the heart of a hippogriff. We- we" (she cries) "We might not be able to save her." (sniffs.) "But I'll go check on Harry now.

Hermione leaves the infirmarary.

Draco: "Y/n... please, don't leave me love. I've already lost it- lost everything. I can't lose you too!" Draco holds Y/n tightly, crying uncontrollably. He draws away from the hug, and kisses her cheek.

Harry: "I got the best I could from Slughorn."

They give it to y/n.

Draco: "She's- not cold anymore."

Pomfrey: "She needs rest! She'll join you all in a week."

Draco: "When can I come to see her again?"

Pomfrey: "Tomorrow, dear. You need to leave now."

Harry gently rubbed Y/n's hand as Draco and Harry left the hospital wing.
