XVII.

FIVE YEARS LATER
Five years

It's been five years since I last saw Ender

When I told James I was pregnant, he didn't shout at me, instead he told me that Summer was also pregnant

But she was three months pregnant

James decided to stop school so that he can take care of Summer and I in our kingdom

We both gave birth in the pack house but at different time interval

I haven't seen Ender since that day in the school and I haven't told him either that we have a child together

The battle of the chosen ones started three years ago and I'm worried because there are a lot of bad blood chosen ones that might try to hurt my daughter just to get me killed

"Mom, mom!!! Asher wants to hit me" Aria said running into my room before hiding behind my back on the bed, giggling

"You hit me first" Asher yelled also coming into my room

Asher is Summer's son

He is an hybrid also but Aria happens to be all three just like Ender

She has the power to see the future but havent mastered it well enough

James is helping her with that

She is really fast and smart for her age

She is quiet when she is around people but quite playful when with Asher

She can also control ones action and she does that a lot especially when she wants to hit someone but does not want to

"No I didn't, you hit yourself" She said still giggling behind me

"You made me do it" He said anger leaking through his voice

"Aria, apologise!" I said turning my face to her, giving her a stern look

"I'm sorry Asher" She said standing up and moving towards Asher

When she gave him a hug, he smiled immediately

They get along so well

"Emily, Emily, he's here" Summer exclaimed, rushing into my room

"He's here" She said standing at the door way of my room, looking at me straight in the eyes

I think I know who is here

"Um, guys can you please leave us to talk for a while " I told Aria and Asher who just stood there looking at Summer like she is crazy

"Si mama" Aria said dragging Asher out with her (Translation: Yes mom )

She knows I find it hard to understand Spanish so she uses it to her advantage

Like I said, too smart for her age

Once they were out of the room, Summer sat on my bed crisscrossed

"What's he doing here?" I asked eager for an answer

"Well... After the attack last week, they decided to help us fight the rogues because they know that the vampire territory is next" She explained

"And why did no one tell me this?" I whined as I rest my head in my hands

"Because James said he does not want to get you all worked up" She said standing up from the bed

"And you think I'm not worked up now?" I asked also getting up

"He can't know about Aria" I said ready to break down

I mean after five years, after five whole years, he finally came back

Even though he didn't know about Aria, he didn't even care to know how I'm doing

No, I will do everything in my power to keep him away from her

"So, what's going on now?" I asked

"James said Everyone should come down stairs because it would be considered rude if the whole royal family is not with him" She said as she began walking out the door

"I'm on my way" I said going into the bathroom

He can't know about her

As I made my way into the conference room with Jamie, I saw Tania

She is our cook and sometimes she manages to give every member of the pack a cooking lesson

Everyone loves her, she is quite old but she's not the cranky type

"Aunty Tania, can you please help me tell Susan to take care of the kids for me?" I said giving her a questioning look

Susan is Aunt Tania daughter, she is just fifteen but she is always found training with the warriors

She is really good at fighting and strong

"Sure, Emily" She responded

On getting to the conference room, I saw that James, Summer, my parents, Peter and Adam were already there and opposite them was Ender and his family alongside the twins and two other guys I don't recognise

Adam is the leader of the warriors that is why he is equally as important in this meeting as everyone else present

Getting to my seat, I tried to avoid Enders gaze on me

"What took you so long?" Summer whispered to me immediately i sat next to her

"Had to sought the kids out" I replied and almost immediately someone cleared their throat as signal that the meeting should begin

"So like I said before, I would Need you to sign the treaty" James said handling over some papers to Ender

I guess the meeting has already started

I could not help but scan his dressing

I guess I was not mistaking when I said black was his favourite colour

He is wearing a black turtle necked long sleeved T-shirt

I couldn't see his trousers since, well, they were under the table

He is still as handsome as he was before, but now he is more muscular

While Ender was reading the papers, I guess he sensed I was looking at him because he immediately averted his gaze to me

And then I met those green eyes

Those eyes that can draw anything to it

Those eyes that once made me fall deeply in love with him

After some seconds he returned his gaze to the papers

"What about the witches? Have they agreed to sign the treaty?" Ender asked looking at James

Why am I still attracted to him? Even after everything

His gaze once again met mine

"Yes they agreed" James confirmed

"Alright then " Ender said before signing the papers

Oh no, now I will surely get to see him more often
