chapter 9 Skydawn

Skydawn was walking out of the warriors den

Mossfur was making patrols for the day

There's my brother Blazepelt Skydawn thought

"Hi Blazepelt" Skydawn said

"Hi" Blazepelt replied

"So what are we going to do today" Skydawn asked

"We?" Blazepelt replied

"Yeah you and me because we never spend any time together since we joined the clan" Skydawn answered

"I'm going hunting by myself and you can do whatever you want" Blazepelt replied

"But I thought you loved hunting with me" Skydawn said

We would always hunt together when we were rogues Skydawn thought

"What's going on with you two" there father Thunderflame asked

"I was asking Blazepelt if he wanted to join me on a hunting patrol" Skydawn answered

"Blazepelt why don't you join your sister and go hunting" Thunderflame suggested

"Alright" Blazepelt replied

"Yay" Skydawn said

And Skydawn and Blazepelt walked out of camp and started to look for prey

She quickly found a robin and she started to sneak up on it until she was close enough to make a leap

And she jumped landing a kit step away

The bird took off flew into a pine tree

"Mouse-dung" Skydawn said

Blazepelt walked over a vole in his jaws

"You caught something" Skydawn said

"Your acting like it's surprising" Blazepelt replied

"But let's just continue hunting" Skydawn suggested

"Alright" Blazepelt replied

They continued hunting for a while

She ended up with two mice and Blazepelt had caught two more voles

And they walked back into camp and dropped their prey on the fresh-kill pile

"Wasn't the hunting fun" Skydawn asked

"I guess it was" Blazepelt replied

"How are doing Skydawn" Duskmoon asked

"I'm doing good thanks for asking" Skydawn answered

I wish I knew why Blazepelt doesn't want to be around be around me anymore Skydawn wondered

Duskmoon was her former mentor and they had a pretty good relationship

"Duskmoon who is the nightclan cat I see you hanging out with at gatherings" Skydawn asked

"Oh uh... just a friend" Duskmoon answered

"At the next gathering can you introduce her to me" Skydawn asked

"Sure" Duskmoon answered

She noticed that Blazepelt wasn't right beside her anymore

Blazepelt was now sitting beside the camp wall like he normally did

I wonder if the reason he doesn't like being around other cats is because of a bad dream Skydawn Wondered

"Sometimes it's hard to believe that you and your brother are siblings because he is so different from you" Duskmoon said

"I know I don't understand it either" Skydawn replied

She would often check if the elders needed anything

"I'm going to go now bye" Skydawn said

And she walked over to the elders den to see if they needed anything

And plus once I'm finished I can hear a good story Skydawn thought

She walked into the den

"Let me guess you are here for us to tell you a good story" Splashflight said

"No at least not yet" Skydawn replied

"Then to clean our den" Wolfshine asked

"Yeah" Skydawn answered

"Well we need some new nests so can you get some moss for them" Splashflight asked

"Sure" Skydawn answered

And walked out of the den to go collect some fresh moss for them
