Chapter Thirty-Two

The Annual Dance Ball

This is it. The big day for the Red Chrysanthemum Flower Kingdom. The castle is filled with busy servants preparing at the dinner hall and the main ballroom of the palace. As the royal maids are bathing Ruby, Chip read some important events that will happen before tonight's ball. "There will be a ceremonial entrance to the kingdom's royal chapel for the Royal Blessing. You'll be by sitting by yourself in an open carriage, riding through the city area."

After her bath, Ruby is then dressed into a gorgeous ruby-red shoulder tulle gown with side-open lace sleeves and an open back. She also had to put on the kingdom's blue royal shoulder strap with a wine-red color diamond flower pin attached to the strap. Lastly, a round diamond royal crown with large tear-drop rubies. After she was finally dressed, Chip also announces that the elite princes are already here, waiting downstairs in the main hall of the palace.

The princes wore white soldier-like suites, with different colored shoulder straps that represent their kingdoms and their royal crowns as well. "Just remember, whoever Princess Ruby chooses, let's keep things peaceful, right?" Prince Yoongi asked, making sure they all get along.

"Of course, we all should be mature and respectful," Prince Seokjin agrees. "Your hugeness," the royal grand duke alerts the princes. "Presenting her royal highness, Princess Ruby!" They're all in awe as they watched Ruby walked downstairs, with her gown glittering from the large chandeliers and the way the gems twinkled with every step she takes. They are all starstruck, each of the princes had the same reaction, stunned at her beauty.

"Your highnesses, his majesty, and the royal court are ready for the royal entrance." The grand duke guides them outside, where decorated carriages along with the king and the royal court are waiting. "My daughter, you look beautiful," the king compliments and gave a kiss on her forehead.

"Prince Hoseok, Prince Jimin, and Prince Namjoon, you three shall sit together in this carriage," the grand duke says as he takes them to the carriage they were assigned to. "Prince Yoongi, Prince Seokjin, and Prince Taehyung, you three will sit together in this one."

"Seems like the princes can't take their eyes off of you," Chip teases Ruby as she turns to look at the princes who were all admiringly staring at her. But knowing they were caught, they 'innocently' turned to look away, pretending nothing happened. Ruby chuckles at their foolishness.

"Your highness, you'll be sitting here." The coachman helps her get seated in the carriage. She's surrounded by white and blue roses, nicely decorated behind her. "Let us begin the royal entrance!" Ruby's carriage leaves first, followed by the carriage where the king and the grand duke were seated. And finally, the two carriages with the elite princes.

Royal knights marched from behind and front, protecting the royals. "There will be a lot of villagers and high-rank citizens, watching and cheering for you. Just wave and smile," Chip reminds Ruby. It was true, as they pass by, the whole kingdom surrounded the land, cheering for Ruby.

"Princess Ruby! You look pretty!" "Princess Ruby, good luck tonight!" "I hope you and his highness will be happy forever!" Ruby couldn't believe she felt so much happiness, though, she knows they were only cheering for the real Princess Ruby. The cheers grew louder as the carriages pass by.

They finally stopped in front of the large royal chapel. Ruby is helped by the coachman and waves at the crowd once more before, entering the chapel first, with the king by her side. Followed by the princes and the royal court, the princes and the princesses, and the higher ranks who are seated by their ranks. They all stood up from their seats, bowing as they all entered.

"Now entering, his royal majesty, King Crown and his beloved daughter, her highness, Princess Ruby!' Ruby tucks her arm underneath his as they walked down the aisle. It felt like it was a wedding ceremony. "Now entering the six chosen elite princes! Prince Namjoon Kim of the Daisy Kingdom! Prince Seokjin Kim of the Republic of Rose Kingdom! Prince Yoongi Min of the Iris Kingdom! Prince Hoseok Jung of the Sunflower Kingdom! Prince Jimin Park of the Cherry Blossom Kingdom! And Prince Taehyung Kim of the Magnolia Empire Kingdom!" One by one, each prince that was called in order, entered the chapel behind the king and Ruby.
