The prince and his prince

Their night at the palace was definitely cut short after their moment in front of everyone. Mainly because Wilhelm was so over being there and they decided to head out immediately. They got their jackets and their belongings Wilhelm making sure to bring a change of clothes because he can't keep snatching Simon's shirts and sweaters even if he loved it.

Their return back to Simon's wasn't eventful. They sat on the bus hand in hand but pretty much said nothing about the whole time at the palace. Simon left it alone because he knew Wilhelm was upset and he just wanted to let the rest of the night calm down. He was beyond unhappy with the prince's family. it was something he knew all too well from the little time he had to figure everything out. Tonight was dinner with his mom and he had hope that it would help make tonight better, he truly couldn't imagine what Wilhelm was feeling or thinking

"I love you" wilhelm let out as they walked alone on the sidewalk towards Simon's house, Simon raised his head and looked towards the taller boy and smiled "I love you" he replied feeling his cheeks heat up "I'm sorry about what happened back there" wilhelm said almost like he took all that time to figure out what actually happened.

"You've got nothing to apologize for, trust me. I got to kiss the prince of Sweden in front of all of these important people, you got to show how you feel. You let down your guard and I'm so proud of you." Simon says softly as he let his hand that held Wilhelm's squeeze a tad bit "it wasn't all bad I guess" Wilhelm let a small smile slip "kissing you was the highlight, in my room and in front of everyone" the taller boy added causing Simon to look away flustered enough to be embarrassed he let out a chuckle

When they got into Simon's his mother was at her station in the kitchen working hard, a smile on her face and Christmas music that was streaming through the tv both boys looked at each other and smiled before taking their shoes and their jackets off by the door to walk in. Linda was more than happy to see them "boys! I got you something" she says with a smile, dashing off towards her bedroom

She came back holding two gifts in her hand, Simon knew she allowed him and Sarah to open gifts on Christmas Eve so this was normal to him although Wilhelm was definitely excited a smile on his face as they all made their way to the couch in the living room. "Open at the same time" Linda says as both boys start unwrapping the paper as the gift became visible their smiles only grew more both pulling a crown as they giggled and looked at each other. "You boys are both royals in this household," Linda says with a wink as Simon reaches over taking Wilhelm's out of his hand and placing it on the blonde boys head putting his on following after. "Your majesties" Linda smiled while standing up "dinner will be ready in two hours" she said while walking back into the kitchen

"You are so beautiful" Wilhelm let out softly as his eyes met with beautiful brown ones Simon smiled fondly as he adjusted himself closer to Wilhelm "it's the crown, don't fool yourself" Simon joked as he rested his head on Wilhelm's shoulder "you've only just got the crown, it does however make me wanna go play video games right about now" Wilhelm said, almost as a whisper gaining a chuckle from Simon "really" Simon lifted his head as he looked at his boyfriend the blonde boy nodding a grin appearing on Wilhelm's face only made Simon even more red.

The ringtone on Wilhelm's phone interrupted their moment on the couch as Wilhelm picked the phone call up and moved off the couch and away from the two so he could have privacy. It had been an unknown caller so he had no idea who it was

"Wilhelm, hey, I uh ..."

August...

"What the fuck do you want?" Wilhelm spat, uncomfortable and considering hanging up

"It's Sarah.. she's too drunk"

But wait, wasn't Sarah with Felice

"Why is Sarah with you on Christmas Eve?" Wilhelm asked as Simon appeared behind him "wasn't exposing Simon and I enough for you... now you have to get involved with his sister?" Wilhelm felt on edge as he heard the floor creek he looked over and saw Simon behind him. The curly haired boy was full of confusion as well as fear as he inched closer to the taller boy "whatever I don't want to hear anything, where are you guys?" Wilhelm asks as Simon chews on his lip awaiting the call to be over

Within seconds Wilhelm hung up, watching Simon's eyes wonder around before they made their way back to Wilhelm "where are they?" He asks eyebrows frowning "the abandoned building at school, you stay with your mom and I'll go get her" Wilhelm says as he goes to step away when Simon grabs his wrist gently "I'm coming, I'll let my mom know we are going for a walk" Simon says as they leave the hall and split paths momentarily.

"Why is she wish august... I though-"

"I know, I'm not sure. Let's just get her and get out"

"My sister is with the guy who showed the world our most vulnerable moment, drinking" Simon shook his head the crowns came off and the boys didn't take long before they left the house

Wilhelm and Simon walked hand in hand towards their destination, anxious and confused
