when jeonghan woke up it was dark but felt like he had slept for ages, his body was in so much physical pain and he couldn't bring himself to mask his natural face expression, he did his best to sit up and after a few tries and hurting himself in the process he looked around the room confused as to why he couldn't find jisoo

after a few seconds jisoo walked in the room with his hair damp and a towel covering the lower half of his body and gasped completely startled at seeing him awake

he then reacted and walked over to him quickly with a gentle smile "hey, you're finally awake" he said and giggled at his bed hair before pushing it back

jeonghan tried saying something but a horrible sore sound came out which made him touch his neck confusedly and then flinch at the pain of touching his neck finally realizing he had a neck collar around it

"no" jisoo said quickly "don't try to speak, the doctor said you shouldn't" he said and walked over to his nightstand "it's time to retouch your neck with this medicine" he said "i know it's cannabis ointment but the doctor said it was okay even for recovered addicts" he chuckled

jeonghan furrowed his eyebrows slightly wondering how long he was asleep for a doctor to see him so jisoo giggled "you were asleep for the whole day, it's been nearly a day since you fell asleep actually, but they told me it was normal, and if you're wondering how we could afford it, don't worry about that, i was actually saving up to buy something but it was enough money for the doctor and buying these surprisingly expensive medicines" he said with a giggle following

the older looked away not making any facial expression but feeling guilty the other had spent so much money on him but as if jisoo could read his mind he started speaking "and don't even feel guilty about it, i chose to spend this money on you because i wanted to and i'll kick your ass if it's necessary if you feel bad about it" he joked and then stared at his facial expression to see if it had cheered him up at least a little

he pressed his lips together at not seeing a single change in his numb expression and started speaking again "by the way, the doctor didn't come over, i just told him what happened and he told me he couldn't really prescript me medicine because the patient wasn't there because well, i couldn't carry you naked to the doctor but he did recommend me these ointments, gave me a neck collar and told me to give you some painkillers once you woke up if you were still in pain, oh and that i should retouch your bruises every six hours" he said

he moved over to him and hummed "i'm going to get behind you and remove your neck collar, i'm not going to lie, it's probably going to hurt, but if you want it to stop hurting soon, this is necessary

jeonghan didn't reply so he positioned himself beside him and slowly unlocked it feeling him tense up in pain "it's okay, it'll be over soon" he said

once again jisoo looked away in pain of seeing jeonghan's bruised purple and green skin but took a deep breath before starting to apply the ointment gently on the front of his neck, after he was done, he put it back on and smiled "see? that feels better doesn't it?" he asked happily not wanting to show how much it affected him to see him so vulnerable still and then looked at his leg "it's time for your leg" he said

jeonghan couldn't really look down but felt his leg was bandaged "in your leg i've been applying this ointment and this oil because you have some cuts and this will prevent infections, i've also been putting it over your other old scars because the doctor said it could still help them heal" he said while taking his bandage off slowly, thankfully, the bruises and cuts on his legs didn't look that bad, he did the same he had done with his neck and put on another clean bandage

when he was done, he started applying oil to his other scars and finished with the little one on his cheeks he had from falling one time

he stared deep into his eyes while caressing his cheek and jeonghan stared back, again in a very personal moment

jisoo went in for a gentle hug, when they broke it he kissed his cheek and stood up "okay, you're still in enough pain for not being able to move freely so i'll need you to take these two pills" he said while taking out two pills from a tylenol container

he grabbed the glass of water that was already on the nightstand and handed it to jeonghan "try to grab it" he said

to both of their surprises, jeonghan was strong enough to grab it, he shakily took it to his mouth and jisoo put a single pill in, he quickly swallowed it and immediately coughed dropping the glass of water on the bed

it was incredibly painful to swallow and it was even worse to cough, he tried to stop coughing in sufferment as he felt his eyes water from the incredible pain and made a pained sound that came out of his bruised vocal cords

jisoo watched worriedly feeling his pain, he picked up the glass of water that hadn't spilled much because he caught it quickly on the bed and rubbed his back "it's okay, you did well" he said

he still had one pill to go so he closed his eyes mentally preparing to go through that again and did the same action this time controlling his coughing better even though it still hurt enough for him to hiss
