Callie had just snapped out of the hypno-shade daze and jumped to be with Marie "woohoo!" Agent 4 had cheered once they began to sing the Calamari Inkantation. "Argh! Enough of this! Eat my ink!" He shouted as one of his robo hands reved up and shot at Agent 4, there wasn't enough time to dodge, and Agent 4 was shot off the platform of Cephalon HQ. "Agent 4!" Callie and Marie shouted "gah! Mission abort! Mission abort!" Sheldon cried, driving the truck away.

Agent 4 woke up deep within Cephalon HQ, and there was an Octarian above him, although she wasn't dressed like any Octarian soldier he'd seen. "Hey! Hello? Mh, groan if your alive" she said, Agent 4 groaned "oh, good, your alive." Agent 4 sat up "uh, hi..?" The Octarian backed up a bit "hello, Inkling." She replied "where are we?" Agent 4 asked "inner workings of Cephalopod HQ. You and my Dad were inking the carp out of each other." She said "uh, "Dad"..?" He asked "yep! Dad, I'm Naida, Princess of the Octarians. And you, my friend, have landed in a pretty bad spot." Naida said "yeah..." He sighed "I'm Cody, or Agent 4" Cody responded "to bad we couldn't have met under better circumstances, huh?" Naida got up, then extended her hand towards Cody, who took her hand and was helped up "so why are you helping me?" He asked
"because I'm bored, and my Dad might hate all you squid kids but you all just exist to me. Only thing I've really got a problem with is you all hogging the Great Zap Fish, and all the mini Zap Fish. The ones we do have are so picky that we might as well not have any of them." Naida lamented, Cody nodded "I guess I can see it from your view" he said, Naida began walking and Cody began to follow "just, I know my Dad wants to fix the whole power issue. He's just going at it from the wrong angle. We could share a power plant, or share the Great Zap Fish's output. We shouldn't have to steal anything from you all to survive." She sighed angrily "and we shouldn't have to brainwash soldiers to keep the army numbers up." She added bitterly. Cody kept his mouth shut, for being Octavio's daughter Naida seemed pretty grounded, she had black tentacles that were held back by a hair pin, with red eyes, and a black kimono with pink accents here and there. An octo E-Liter was slung over her back, and a splattershot was slung above it making an x on her back with her weapons

"we're gonna have to find you new clothes, hide your inkling mask, and somehow hide your ears. Cause my old man is pretty perceptive, huge wars and carp." She said "maybe a a jacket and I can just wear a hood? And some of those octogoggles too?" Cody suggested "mh, it's a start. A hood would help with your ears, but I could use some of my makeup to hide your mask." She said stopping at a wall "now, c'mon." She said beginning to climb "we've got some work to do." She began climbing and Cody hesitantly followed after her

Cody had gotten said work done. His hero suit had been swapped for some clothes that Naida had dug up. Basically Cody was now in a maroon hoodie with some shorts and boots that Naida claimed her cousin had outgrown a few months earlier. His mask had been mostly covered up my foundation that Naida cursed while she mixed. "Alright, let's get our story straight for when we see my Dad, or my Auntie, or my cousin, or anyone!" Naida took a deep breath, sighing heavily, then looking back at him "I have 0 idea what our cover story could be" Cody said "yeah, neither do I..." She said "uhm, how about your like...one of my new attendants? Dad always says he can never keep track of who they are. And I don't really have a uniform for them. And if he has a problem with how you look I can always ask for something better." She said "eh, yeah. That works." Cody agreed "just remember to call me 'your highness' rather than my name. And always call my Dad 'your majesty' got it?" She asked Cody nodded "alright, now no touching your face. Can't afford to mess up your disguise." She winked, Cody chuckled a bit. There was a knock on the door "who is it?" Naida called "just a soldier, your highness. His Majesty wishes for you to see him." The soldier answered "on my way." Naida replied and gave a single nod to Cody, who pulled up his hood and followed after her. "Here goes nothing." He thought to himself
Alright! First chapter done. I've liked Splatoon a lot because my sister got me into it. The first part of the story might be a bit weird but I hope that doesn't ruin it for anyone. I won't really be incorporating any lore from Splatoon 3 though aside from city name drops here and there. Stay safe you guys -Alexsismindina✨
