Next day, in the evening Suyash is still in his office when Mrs.Wadhwa calls him.

"Suyash, tum kahan ho? Ab yeh math kehna tum abhi bhi office mein ho!"

Suyash smiles at Mrs.Wadhwa's words. 

"Bhool gaye aaj tumhe Pallavi ke sagai par jaana hai?!" Mrs.Wadhwa says, understanding by his silence that he is still in his office as usual.

Suyash sighs. "Mumma, kya wahan jaana zaroori hai?"

"Bahut zaroori hai!" Mrs.Wadhwa says, sternly. "Ab jaldi se ghar aao aur tayar hokar sagai par jao."

"Aap nahi aa rahi hai mere saath ?" Suyash asks. 

"Nahi, jab mere friends ko pata chala main India aayi hoon unhone mujhe tea party par bulaya hai main unse milne ja rahi hoon," Mrs.Wadhwa explains to him, and authoritatively yet affectionately says, "aur tum sagai par jaa rahe ho mujhe ghar par na dekhkar yahi math rehna samjhe warna mujhse bura nahi hoga!" 

Suyash chuckles slightly. "Haan, mumma."

Other hand Parvati is in her home and she is ready for the engagement party, she has worn a simple yellow saree and her hair is tied in a plait. Narayani comes to her room. "Parvati, chale?" 

Parvati immediately wipes her tears and keeps two gold bangles back in the velvet box. Narayani notices that bangles box. "Yeh toh Krishna ji ne tumhe diye tha."

Parvati smiles and replies, "haan maa, maa ji ne ghar ki bahu ke liye diya tha jo unke ghar ko sambhalegi lekin aaj lagta hai main uss ghar ki kuch nahi lagti hoon yeh haq ab Pallavi ka hai isliye usay yeh gift karna chahti hoon."

Narayani's heart goes out to Parvati, she touches her daughter's cheek and smiles. "Ab chalo beta hum late ho rahe hai."

When Parvati and Narayani reach the grandly decorated Agarwal house, the guests have started arriving. Maa ji and dadi greet Narayani and Parvati.

Parvati says to Kamal, "yakeen nahi hota mera chota aur bhola devar itna bada hogaya hai ki ab uski shaadi hone wali hai."

Kamal grins at her.  "Aap ko bahut miss kiya, bhabhi."

Parvati asks, "tumhari hone wali biwi kahan hai dekhe toh zara kaun hai jisne tumhara dil jeeta hai?"

Kamal feels embarrassed by her constant teasing." Woh log abhi aaye nahi, bhabhi. Aate hi honge." 

Parvati smiles at Kamal. She and Narayani get busy chatting with Agarwals and guests. 

"Parvati, mere kamre se sagai ki anguthi le aana," Maa ji says, handing the key of her locker to Parvati. Parvati agrees and goes to her mother-in -law's room. Kamal is constantly looking at the entrance, and Naryaani teases him. "Pallavi ajayegi, Kamal." 

Agarwals burst out laughing, and Kamal smiles, " aunty, main kisi aur ka intezaar kar raha tha."

"Kiska ?" Narayani asks, looking confused. 

"Pallavi ne bataya tha uske papa ke mehman ayenge koi important business partner hai aur woh chahti hai unka accha khayal rakha jaye…" Kamal explains, and he notices Suyash entering the hall. "Woh aa gaye..."

Narayani turns and is astounded seeing Suyash. "Suyash!" A feeble gasp escapes through her lips. She is happy to see him after so many years and Kamal rushes to the entrance to greet him. "Aaiye, Mr.Mehra." 

Suyash is clueless as he doesn't know any of the Agarwals but he smiles out of courtesy.  Kamal shakes hands with him and says, "Kamal...Pallavi ka hone wala mangethar. Pallavi ne aap ke bare mein bataya tha, please andher aaiye."
