The aghast of the rain and the uproar hissing of the wind couldn't let me sleep. I was eyeing the dark street outside. The power was off kaya hindi ko makita kung may mga tao but I saw some lights at the corners, sumisilip din yata ang mga tao. I didn't worry about the uprising of  water.

The only problem I am worrying about the person who's still fighting the heavy rain outside just to make sure his car safe. I turned my head at the door when the doorknob twisted open. I saw Manchester wearing his usual mood, dark, his suit was wet. May dala siyang plastic bag. Hindi naman basa ang buhok niya.

"I'd like to use your bathroom. If you let me."

I nodded as I stood from the stool I owned. "Sure." I led the way to the door. "My bathroom is not grand as yours in Manila. Just use tabo to mount water." I said.

"I know how to use tabo." He said that made me surprise.

"And also I have an extra towel in my cupboard. The color is pink. I don't have any towel so kindly bear with it." I added.

"Noted. I like pink." He replied.

I only nodded at him and didn't bother to ask him when and where did he learn to use it. I'm not the same dork anymore. I went back to my stool and sat there again. I waited for  Manchester to finished cleaning his bodice. Malakas pa rin ang bagyo. I thought bukas pa babagyo. Sometimes, I didn't trust the weather update on TV, sino ba ang makakaalam ng tama sa daloy ng panahon? No one but Him only.

"It looks like the storm is getting stronger and stronger every hour. I'm not yet sure kung anong oras ba lalabas ang bagyo." No one could guess it.

"Same thought here." I said in a low voice.

He got a stool for himself and sat next to me. Pareho kaming nakatingin sa bintana. I smelt my conditioner on him. Presumably he used my shampoo too. And my soap. I dug my fingers on the window. I leaned in closer to see the view outside kahit hindi ko naman talaga kita kung ano ang nangyayari.

"What's happening?" The man beside me asked.

I shook my head. "Nothing. I just want to see kung ano ang nangyayari sa labas. Can't see anything." Sabi ko.

He also leaned closer to the window and do what I did.

"You catch something?"

"None." He replied.

He also moved my stool away from the window. We stalked to the kitchen and I made coffee for us. I didn't make one for me, hindi ako mahilig sa coffee.

"I sleep on the couch. Don't stay up late." He said as he lowering the mug he's holding.

Napatango ako at nagpaalam sa kanya. I did what he said, I slept. Hindi man ako nakatulog ng maaga pero maayos naman akong nakatulog in the middle of the storm.

Morning flipped off. When I rose up from my bed. I found no one on the couch. I peeped out the door and found his car missing. I guessed he went home. May nakita akong note sa ibabaw ng mesa and I read the message. He said Maldives kept calling him kaya napaaga siya ng alis. It wasn't my problem to worry about. I did my morning chores since wala kaming pasok ay sa dorm lang ako.

I cleaned the mess in my front yard which was made by the storm last night. Marami din ang naglinis. When I'm done, I took a rest before I went to the convenience store.
