Hiccup's POV:
A week passes and little baby Haddock is finally released from the hospital. Dad asked the nurses and staff to not mention anything yet. We had a quiet funeral for mom. I suggested the name "Dustin" to my Father, because it means fighter, and a brave warrior. He liked it and now little Dustin is as healthy as ever.

"Hiccup, how do I look?" My father asks. He's dressed in a black suit with a red tie. He's going to announce the death of his wife, and the birth of his son this afternoon.

"You look great Dad" I smile at him

"Perfect, can you bring Dustin later? They need me to be there before 3, and I want you guys to be there" He asks while adjusting his tie

"Yeah, sure dad" I start packing Dustin's bag of spare clothes and diapers

"Oh, last thing. Can you pick up the Hofferson's on the way? I asked Barnaby if he and Jaocb could help maintain the crowd, and I've laid out both of your clothes on my bed!" He says as he rushes out the door

"Okay Dad!" I call out, and I hear the door slam shut.

I go to check up on Dustin, who's sleeping nicely in his crib, when I hear the door ring. "Coming!" I shout as I dash down the stairs. I open the door

"Hey" It was Astrid, she was dressed in a white dress that had a floral pattern, and her usual light-brown boots

"Hello, Milady" I say giving her a kiss on the cheek, and make way for her to come in, "What brings you here on this fine day?" I ask as I grab a soda for her.

"Oh, you know I just wanted to see you" she says and opens the soda can

I grin and open a can for myself, then I hear a cry from upstairs. I stand up straight not moving. I forgot Astrid doesn't know about Dustin, in fact no one knows that he was born yet "Erm....Excuse me one moment" I place my soda down, and run up the stairs to Dustin's room. "Hey, Dusty. Shhhh Shhhh. You're okay" I say as I pick him up and start rocking him side-to-side slowly. Astrid walks in

"Uh, I think I missed a few chapters on 'The Life of Hiccup Haddock'" she says crossing her arms and leaning against the door, raising an eyebrow

"Okay, first of all he isn't mine, he's my brother, Dustin. He was born a week ago, and......my Mother passed away while they were taking him out. My Dad's announcing it today to the town" I say feeling a lump in my throat form

"Oh Hiccup, I'm so sorry" she wrapped her arms around me from behind, and rested her head on my shoulder, taking a look at Dustin "He looks like a mini you, except his eyes" she whispered in my ear

"That's what my Dad said too" I whisper back

"Hello?" we hear a voice

"Who's there?" I call out, keeping Astrid behind me

"Relax lad, It's me Barnaby. Yer Father said you'd pick us up, but I thought it'd be easier if we came over, ya know with that little one and all. He mentioned something about a baby" He said

"That reminds me I still need to get ready" I say looking at my clothes "Can't exactly go there in my pajamas" I gently hand Dustin to Astrid who feeds him a bottle, then I go get changed. My Father put out my clothes to wear which was a white long-sleeved, button-up shirt, a maroon vest, a black tie, black trousers, and black leather shoes. I grab Dustin's clothes - which is just a mini version of what I'm wearing, and head back into his room to change him. "Are you guys ready? It's already 2:30! We should get going!" I yell as I carefully rush down the stairs carrying Dustin strapped to my chest in his little carrier thing, and his bag of spare clothes and diapers on my back
