Theo was pissed.

Who was he kidding? He was always pissed but today was the day where his patience was tested at every nook and corner, resulting in him almost killing people. However, he had been advised by his therapist to not go on a killing streak if someone pissed you off and he tried his hardest to adhere to it.

Also, his father gave him a friendly talk sometime back regarding the same and that proved to be a good motivating force as well.

Safe to say, the day was exhausting and he sighed in relief when he reached his palace in Styx. Normally, he would walk to his room, which gave him the better chance of coming across his staff and annoying them but today, he teleported straight outside his room.

He kicked the door open and expected to see Adonis cuddled in with their cats but to his surprise, the room was entirely dark.

What the fuck? He thought and frowned.

"Adonis?" He asked but received no response, putting him on alert instantly.

What if Thor came back?

What if he took him away?!

Theo panicked and his thoughts were immediately filled with rage and fear. If that Norse bastard touched even a single hair on his head, Theo would kill him. And he would be sure to make it painful. Consequences be damned!

He swore out loud and prepared to head out when he heard the sound of a switch being turned on. The darkness subsided, allowing him to see clearly and the sight before him stole his breath away.

Standing before him, where once his bed rested, was now an extraordinary fort made up of numerous pillows and blankets, covered with beautiful blue and pink fairy lights, giving it a magical look. The lights glowed softly in the otherwise dark room, giving the pillow fort a warm and cozy look.

And making everything a thousand times better was the figure sitting inside the fort, smiling at Theo with warm loving eyes.

Theo felt his heart flutter inside his chest and all his worries faded away into oblivion.

"Are you gonna keep staring or come inside already?" Adonis asked teasingly, a smirk on his handsome face.

Theo grinned and ran to the fort, despite it being only five feet away as if he needed to be with his lover as fast as possible. As if every second away hurt.

He threw himself on Adonis who wrapped his arms around his prince, and stumbled back due to the impact, laughing while failing on his back.

Theo smiled into his lover's chest and stayed there for a long moment, relishing in the way Adonis's hands petted his hair, delicately and so incredibly gently as if he was impeccably precious.

And Theo sighed in relief because after a long long time of feeling like absolute shit about himself, feeling so broken and worthless, meeting Adonis was like finding the whole damn ocean in an everlasting desert.

He never thought anyone could ever love him. Gods, he didn't love himself, so how could he ever have hope for someone else? But today, right in this moment, feeling his once blackened heart sway to the steady music of Adonis's heartbeat, and feeling those gentle hands caressing him with utmost care, he knew he was a lucky son of a bitch. He found love. He finally did and the realization made him smile.
