Connection

" This is where I got Yoo. They have really nice, well taken care of rescued hybrids. There are also hybrids that their previous owners decided to return and put up for adoption here. Let's check them out, see if you might find someone interesting." he immediately got out of the car as Jimin followed suit.

Entering the facility, both CEO were welcomed by a long haired, smiling woman with bunny like teeth wearing a cream colored polo shirt, light blue skinny jeans and some beige or something colored, how were they supposed to know, they're only there for hybrids and not to evaluate different shades of colors, flats.

"Hi, welcome to Evergreen Center! My name's Minji, I'm the one in charge for the day, how may I help you?" She smiled as Jungkook led Jimin to stand in front of the woman.

" My friend here wants to look around. He's new to adopting hybrids and we're hoping we could go and look around. See if he feels any connection towards any hybrid you have here."

" Of course. We actually got another set of rescued hybrids who arrived just last week. Some of them are still recovering while the rest are all ready to play with the other hybrids. Let's go this way, they're all at the back right now, socializing with the other hybrids." Minji smiled as she led them down a long hallway, decorated with paintings of different breeds of animals and picture frames of the hybrids that's been in the center and their owners hang on the wall. Jimin also saw Jungkook's photo with his hybrid in one of the frames.

"Here they are. Feel free to socialize with them but try not to startle them, it'll make them feel anxious to talk to you." Minji reminded as they both gave her a simple smile before turning towards the group of hybrids scattered along the big playground.

"Let's try approaching those group of dog hybrids there. Dogs are a man's best friend, right?" Jungkook pointed towards a group of canine hybrids playing by the slides, though observing the group as they play. Jimin, however, doesn't really feel any form of connection towards them.

" You go, I don't really feel any sense of bond towards any of them. I'll walk around and see if I can find some other hybrids here." Jimin said as Jungkook only nod and starts walking towards the dog hybrids, not really planning on adopting another hybrid but just to hang out with them to pass time.

Walking around, Jimin kept looking around, trying to see if a certain hybrid catches his attention. Feling downhearted after walking around for awhile, he decided to approach a group of cat hybrids playing board games close to the entrance, hoping that when he spends enough time with them, he'll be able to form a bond with anyone.

"Let's just hope that this day will be productive..."

" I'm sorry you weren't able to find a hybrid of your own." Minji said with an apologetic look on her face as she walked Jimin and Jungkook, an hour later, towards the entrance of the center.

"It's okay, it's not your fault. Thank you for accommodating us today and sorry if we ever got the hybrids' hopes up." Jimin smiled sympathetically as Jungkook gave her a small grateful smile before proceeding to walk outside to start the car.

"It's okay, they'd understand, adopting a hybrid is not something as easy as 1,2,3, the connection you must have with them has to be there." She smiled as Jimin nod thanking her once again before turning around and walking outside, towards where Jungkook was waiting inside the car.

"Well, looks like you'll be going home without a hybrid today." Jungkook smiled as soon as Jimin is safely buckled up, pulling into the almost dark street.

"Let's eat some delicious food, I know a place around here that serves really great BBQ, it'll lift your mood-" Jungkook's rambling got cut off as he harshly steps on the break when he saw a figure ran in front of them.

"Jeon fucking Jungkook! You better fucking hope you didn't run over someone 'cause I swear to your big ass nose that I'll break it if we ever get jail time!" Jimin exclaimed as he unbuckled his seat belt, getting out of the car to check on the figure, harshly slamming the car door making the younger man snap out of his frozen stupor, hurriedly unbuckling his own seatbelt and rushing out of the car to follow after his hyung.

"Hyung, i'm so sorry, a figure just suddenly-" Stopping in his tracks as he sees his hyung crunched over a girl's figure who looks to be unconscious.

" What the hell are you standing there for? Come help me put her in the backseat!" Jimin snapped as he slowly stands to his feet, the unconscious girl in his arms which caused Jungkook to immediately rush into action.

Running towards the back to open the door to the backseat, letting his hyung lay the figure, watching as his hyung removed his jacket to cover the girl's body as her sorry excuse of a shirt seems to be doing a very terrible job at it.

"What are we gonna do?" Jungkook ask slightly frantic as soon as his hyung closed the door.

"We'll have to bring her somewhere safe so that we can treat her wounds. Don't worry, you didn't ran her over, there's no signs of it. She just fainted maybe due to exhaustion or shock." Jimin explained as he tries to calm his frantic best friend down. No matter how powerful, strong and bad ass looking his best friend with all the amount of muscle, piercings, tattoos and his choice of clothing may look, he knows that he's still a soft child at heart and can easily be shaken by such events.

"Okay, let's bring her to my house. It's closer and we can have an extra helping hand in looking after her." Jimin nod and they both got back inside the car, Jungkook making a U-turn to drive towards the opposite direction of their initial destination, food having long been forgotten.
