flashback ..
Ashlyn was now 15 and a sophomore in high school
She ended up having to move in with her uncle since cps was threatening to put her in foster care
When she was a freshman the teachers at school was noticing lines on her wrist and one of them told getting cps called to her house
Ashlyn honestly wanted to move in with her uncle but her mother wouldn't let her so she told everything that has been going on and how she felt safer with her uncle
Even tho he was still in his 20s he didn't mind taking care of his favorite niece
Over time she did gain a little bit more weight, and the kids got meaner, the depression got serious and etc
But recently she was slowly down .. too down
It got to the point if she got hungry she just went to sleep to sleep it off and that lead her sleeping a lot more
Nobody seemed to notice but her uncle and he was doing everything he could to help her but it was hard trying to get through to her
"Ashlyn come on" Layla snapped her out of her thoughts
Ashlyn looked around seeing all the kids leaving the class room
She got up too putting her bookbag on
"Come on Unique and everybody going to mcdonald's for lunch"
Not to mention .. Unique got finer
They walked up front and swiftly left campus
Ever since the night at the movies they somehow always ended up doing things together as a group
"Wassup y'all" Layla said
Layla and Jeniffer was caption of the cheerleading team
"Not shit" Unique said pulling his pants up a little
Unique still played basketball
Him and Jeniffer was still dating, a little off and on but they was managing
Walking in the mcdonald's with everybody Ashlyn remember the day they went to the movies
"What you getting it's on me"? Unique looked at her
"I'm good"
"Mmcht Ashlyn i thought we was over this shit" he smacked his lips
Their freshmen year at one point Jeniffer and Unique broke up and Ashlyn had feelings for him
When she expressed her feelings towards him he told her he liked her back but later that same day Jeniffer had apologized for their argument and they got back together
Ashlyn felt some typa way because he basically told her that he liked her then pop out with Jeniffer and pretended it never happened
He apologized and they left it in the past but it still hurt to see the boy you like with another girl
"It's not that trust me i'm over it, i'm just not hungry"
"You sure"?
"Yea" she nodded sitting at a booth
Everybody got their food and started eating
"Ouu your scrunchie is so cute lemme see" Layla tried to take it off Ashlyn wrist
"Stop" Ashlyn said moving her hand quickly
"Dang i just wanna see the damn thing"
"Here" Ashlyn took it off giving it to her before taking her arm off the table
