Amnesia - Luffy x reader pt.5

~Y/n pov~

Luffy looked exhausted.

He had been doing loads of things and trying to help me get my memories back.

I told Chopper when I got a few memories back and after realising my memories are coming back slowly, I told Luffy too.

"My memories are coming back." I smiled slightly.

Luffy's face broke out into a grin, "Really?"

"Yeah. Though I don't remember much about you or the crew."

His smile dropped slightly, "I'll make you remember."

He had been trying his best to make me to remember but to be honest, I think he was trying too hard.

I hadn't been remembering much and he was exhausting himself.

Everyone could see that.

No one was saying anything about it so I decided to do something about it.

"Luffy.."

"What?" He grinned.

"I appreciate all your doing for me to try and get my memories back... but you're wearing yourself out. My memories will come back in time. They are already starting to come back." I frowned.

Luffy's smile dropped.

"Luffy, you seriously need to sleep."

Tears started building up in his eyes as his lip startled trembling.

He was so tired he couldn't even keep his emotions in check.

I wrapped my arms around him tightly and pulled him close.

Although I don't know why, something felt different with Luffy.

It was different than my relationship with the rest of the crew.

After a few seconds, Luffy threw his arms around my neck and buried his face into my shoulder.

His shoulders shook as he started to cry.

"You're right... I'm so tired." Luffy's voice cracked.

"Then don't worry about me. I'm fine." I spoke in a reassuring tone, "Get some rest."

Luffy just nodded his head and clung tighter to me.

It took me a few moments to realise he wasn't going to let go.

He was almost falling asleep where he stood.

I scooped him up into my arms and carried him to the boys room.

Luffy leaned into me, cuddling into my arms.

My heart felt warm.

A smile grew on my face as I started at Luffy's peaceful sleeping expression.

It was the middle of the day so when I arrived at the boys room so there was no one there.

I tried to place Luffy down in one of the beds but he wouldn't let go of me.

After a few attempts of trying to make him let go, I gave up.

Sighing, I crawled into bed with him.

As soon as I did, he snuggled up to me and nuzzled his cheek against mine.

I reached my hand out and ran my fingers through his hair.

I sighed as I stared out at the ocean.

It was getting frustrating.
