'Describe it, please,' the lady asked.

'It was a woman. Long black hair, tall...'

'Large breasts,' the Lieutenant commented.

'She had a tattoo on her sternum,' Mustang informed.

'An Ouroboros tattoo?'

'I believe it was one, yes,' the man confirmed. 'And her core was a Philosopher's Stone.'

Brewster remained silent for some seconds.

'Definitely a Homunculus,' she concluded with a serious expression on her face. 'Homunculi are artificially created humans, so who's creating them?'

Colonel Mustang told the general everything that had happened, including how he had killed the undying creature. He had followed the Dark Alchemist's advice and kept on burning the Homunculus until its core was destroyed.

'So, from what I've gathered, you were after a criminal that invaded the Third Laboratory and got severely injured during the process as he was an experienced murderer and fairly skilled,' General Brewster said firmly. 'However, Lieutenant Havoc and Lieutenant Hawkeye weren't wearing their uniforms. That might have some minor consequences that I'll try to suppress.'

Colonel Mustang smiled at the lady knowing she was trying to protect him and his team.

'It was a pleasure talking to you,' the alchemist said while getting up.

She headed to the door and unlocked it before leaving the room.

'So, the General is on our side?' Hawkeye asked a little confused.

'She is,' Mustang smiled.

'Finally, you being a womanizer pays off!' Havoc joked.

The blonde lady looked at Mustang immediately when she heard that. Were the general and the colonel in a relationship? That could put Mustang into trouble since the General was a superior of his. She wasn't a direct superior, of course, but it could be a problem non the less.

'I should remind you that being involved with a superior might be...'

'I'm not involved with anyone,' Mustang interrupted the female and then remembered he had to cancel their visit to East City. 'I'll even cancel our plans...'

That last part wasn't supposed to be heard, but the Colonel was feeling so disappointed that he spoke out loud. That little lapse of his made the two Lieutenants look at him with surprise and admiration in their eyes. The Flame Alchemist noticed their looks and decided to clarify things.

'It was just a weekend as friends. My main objective was to get some information about the senior staff,' he lied not wanting to reveal his true feelings.

'You should be discharged tomorrow,' Lieutenant Hawkeye commented.

Was the blonde lady telling him to go to the east with the general?

'You might be able to gather valuable information,' she explained. 'Outside Central, it is harder to control you two and she might share some interesting intelligence.'

'And you could take the break to have some fun!' Havoc added with a smile.

Perhaps his colleagues were right, and he shouldn't cancel his plans with the Dark Alchemist. Mustang believed the black-haired lady was someone he could trust and that if she knew anything, the only thing stopping her from sharing that with him was the fact that they were in Central and everything was very controlled there.

The Flame Alchemist made up his mind. He wasn't going to cancel his plans, so he decided to call the General to tell her that since she probably thought those plans were on hold. He called Brewster using one of the hospital's phones.

'General,' the male greeted when the lady picked up the phone.

'Mustang,' the General showed her surprise. 'Is everything alright?'

'Yes, I just wanted to know if you've already bought the train ticket.'

'I did, but it's fine,' the icy-blue-eyed female said assuming he was going to apologize for having to cancel their plans.

'I should be out tomorrow,' Mustang informed. 'Should I wait for you at the station on Saturday?'

The alchemist could hear the lady smiling on the other side of the line.

'I'll try not to makeyou wait,' she replied.
