A war then lasted for thousands of years and lasted several generations. Neither side was giving up. And there was almost no hope for the creatures of shadow until they bred a hybrid. A creature of shadow that had the power of light. They named it Purgatory. And that insured victory for the creatures of shadow. The creatures of light were driven down to a newly created realm known as the underworld. The creatures of shadow then created their own civilizations and created humans to insure that there will be no more war as deadly and powerful as the one before. The creatures of shadow then started locking away their powers. Hoping that the creatures of light would never return they started telling the humans about their stories. The humans then gave them the name Angels. And the other creatures the name of Demons. But the Demon's influence affected the humans with religion and somewhere it got lost in history that the creature of shadow were demons and creatures of light were angels. But they were just words and the demons could never escape the underworld. That was until. . .the first shot was fired. And the new war began.
