Chapter 4

Him-Chan Pov

And there she was, Imani with 2 other girls who I'm guessing are her friends. As soon as we see them, I wanted to go talk to her, but once she saw Jin, Jay and I heading towards them, they took off running. Why is it that every time I see her she runs away, it pisses me off. Instead of her running away I wanted her to run towards me. Imani and her 2 friends went sprinting out side the coffee shop and dam  was impressed.

"Dang well they are fast", Jay says

"I'm impressed", I say looking at them as they sprint away from us.

"But can we talk about how beautiful they are, ok Kane now I see what you are so crazy about." Jin says looking at me with a smirk.

"Yeah I agree." Jay says.

Since we all came in different cars we decide to separate and scout the area looking for my melanin Goddess and her friends. I was getting annoyed at the fact that we were not going anywhere with our search, until I remembered reading on Imani's file, that she worked at one of my restaurants. So I called Jin and Jay and told them to meet me at the restaurant, and check if they are not there.

We arrived at the restaurant, and parked our black cars in my private underground parking. Before we had arrived at the restaurant, I notified  my head employee that I was coming for a check up, and they should clear the restaurant. I wanted it empty. I told my head employee that I wanted me and the guys to be served by 3 specific waitresses, yes, I'm referring to Imani my melanin Goddess and her 2 friends. 

We got out of our cars and went into the restaurant. It looked nice and empty just like I ordered. Me, Jin and Jay sat on a table and one waiter came up to us, to ask us what we wanted. I recognized her face from the coffee shop, it was one of Imani's friends. She looked shocked when she saw us, but she continued taking our orders as if she didn't know who we were.  

"Hi my name is Naomi, what can I get for Y'all?" she asked.

"Nice to meet you Naomi, I'm Jin, this is Jay my brother and I'm sure you know who that is", Jin says whilst pointing at me.

"Yeah, what can I get for y'all?", she asks again.

We order a large amount of food, knowing very well that, Naomi would have to get some help when she serves us. After done ordering, Naomi leaves and Jay bursts out laughing. We looked at him surprised, "why are you laughing?" , Jin asks he's brother, "these girls really fascinate me", he says. And suddenly I'm interested in what this fool has to say.

"What do you mean?" ,I ask.

"Well they know exactly who we are, but yet they don't fear us, yes they did run away when they saw us, but you can clearly tell, they don't fear us." And finally Jay says something actually smart.

"You're right, now I'm more interested in them." Jin says

Whilst we are waiting for our order, we start talking about the girls and some stuff involving work, but my mind is still wondering, why my Queen was roaming around Brooklyn all by herself.

Imani Pov

Oh did I mention that I also work with Naomi and Khalani, perfect right. But anyways, when we got to work, we handled some few orders for a few customers, until our manager called us all to the kitchen. I was worried a bit because I thought people were going to get fired, but Chris the manager, just told us that the boss was coming for a check up and he was bringing 2 of he's friends. After that, Chris told us that everyone can go home except the chefs, Khalani, Naomi and I. 

Apparently the boss wanted only the head waitresses and head chefs to serve them. Everyone went home and the place was empty. We were informed that the boss had arrived with he's friends and one of us had to go take their orders. Non of us wanted to go, so we played Rock, Paper Scissors and Naomi lost. She went to go take their orders, but when she came back in she looked shocked and she was also laughing a bit.

"What's up with u?" , Khalani asked.

"Yeah", I said agreeing with what Khalani said.

"Y'all will not believe who the boss is and who he's friends are", Naomi says.

"Who", Khalani and I ask at the same time.

"The Boss is Kane and he's friends are Jin and Jay, the two guys he's always with." Naomi says.

After that we all stayed silent and looked at each other. Then we all burst out laughing, I didn't really understand why we always laughed, when we were in danger or in a serious situation. Chris came in to tell us that the food is ready and we should go serve Kane, Jin and Jay.

"Why do we all need to go?" ,Khalani asked.

"Well Mr. boss and he' friends ordered a large meal, so we all need to go.", Naomi says annoyed at the stunt Kane pulled of.

We walked out of the kitchen, our hands full with all the plates of food they order, and went to go serve them. We got to their table and Kane's eyes were staring only at me, it felt weird and i wanted to ask him to stop, cause he looked crazy, but I knew I might get fired and I needed this job. We placed the food down on their table and just as we were about to walk away, Chris comes out of nowhere and introduces everyone.

"Mr. Kane, Mr. Jin and Mr. Jay, these are our top waitresses that will be serving you tonight", Chris says with a smile on he's face.

Once Chris signaled us to introduce ourselves, I wanted to punch him and all these guys in the face. 

"Hey, y'all already know me, I'm Naomi." she says, but Kane's eyes never leave my sight.

"Hi, I'm Khalani, nice to meet y'all." she says.

"And I'm Imani, nice to meet y'all", I say, with all 3 of us pulling the fakest smiles we could make.

"Nice to meet all of you", they all say, with deep voices. Lord take me now.

 We make our way back to the kitchen and I can fee eyes burning my back, I knew Kane was looking at me, and it felt really awkward.
