Favourite Mistake
If I had ever known, I wouldn't let this happen
Tried my best to fix the pieces on the puzzle,
But it never turned out to be an actual picture
Believe me, I never thought we were only a missing puzzle away
From becoming everything to nothing only through halfway
Just to not lose, I never wanted anything in the first place
I know what we did was a mistake, but it's my favourite
Don't you think it's good if I tell you, I'm not sorry just to push you away?
From the hurt, I know you'll be hurting to feel
Think about the place where you first met me
Catching starry stares in that university library,
Surrounded by them who taught me lessons I never knew I'd need,

Jealousy is that unfaithful promise that came as a dead-end
So why do you grieve now when the people we once called friends
Have eyes on us, waiting for the downfall, yet
We stand together so tall, and so strong, chained to happiness
Unmoved by the storms and the rain

As I bury these ashes, they will grow out again to a garden one day
