It was 7pm, Ishqi was nervously pacing back and forth in her room, she feared failure of their plan but she trusted Ahaan...he had promised to not let anything happen to her and he assured her he'd get Mayank punished for his crimes no matter what, she smiled. "Ahaan" she muttered- 

Ahaan was someone who gave Ishqi butterflies in her stomach, someone who was always there for her, in whose arms she felt the safest...someone she cherished deeply and would always keep close to her heart no matter what the future held for them.

Ishqi was aware she had developed feelings for Ahaan and she only sensed them growing stronger as time went on. There were moments where she wanted him all to herself, she felt as if she could tell him anything- they shared a connection beyond explanation. Their hearts were connected- the peace that they both felt in each other's presence was indescribable.

Ishqi was dressed in bridal attire, she was waiting for Ahaan's phone call when she heard a knock on the door. "It's probably Maasi" she thought and yelled "Come in"- The door swung open and there stood Ahaan, Ishqi started blabbering without even turning around to see who it actually was. 

Ishqi: Maasi, a-aap neeche jaiye na mein 20 minutes mein aati houn...I'm just waiting for....her voice trailed off- "Ishqi yeh tu kya kar rahi hai...Maasi ko baata rahi hai ke tu AVM ka wait kar rahi hai" she facepalmed herself- 

"Me" she heard behind her, "You're waiting for me, right?"- She turned around, "Ahaan", she said and her eyes widened- "What are you doing here?! Kissi ne dekh liya toh?! Humara saara plan chopat hojaiga-" she rushed towards him and locked the door. 

Ahaan: Kissi ne nahi dekha...don't worry, he held her by the shoulders- Their eyes locked, "Gorgeous" slipped Ahaan's mouth and Ishqi's lips curved into a smile. Just a single compliment from him was enough to make her heart flutter. Before she could control herself she said, "You're not looking too bad yourself Mr. AVM", Ahaan grinned, "So you mean to say that I don't look good everyday?" he said while moving closer to her- Ahaan was enjoying the affect their closeness was having on her, "H-huhh?" she stuttered- Ishqi couldn't move herself away, she stayed put..."What huh?" he caged her in his arms and pulled her towards himself, their bodies collided and their faces were a mere five inches apart from each other. Ishqi's heart was beating out of her chest but she was loving every second of the moment. 

Ishqi: Y-Yeh a-aap kya k-kar rahe h-hai, she stammered- 

"Abhi kuch kiya hi kahan hai" he smirked- Ahaan cupped her face, and started closing the distance between their faces. He kissed her cheek and she smiled in contentment. "A-Aapko yeh ho kya gaya hai Ah-Ahaan?!" she struggled to voice out- 

"Waqai mein jaana chahati ho?"- he whispered in her ear, his husky voice sent shivers down her spine- Ishqi was loosing herself to him, she knew it wasn't long before she spilled everything in her heart in front of him but she gathered some courage, slightly smiled and nodded-

He gazed at her lips and brushed them with his thumb, she closed her eyes and he moved close, their lips were just just an inch apart when they heard a knock on the door. Ishqi moved away from him, they awkwardly started at each other for a few seconds, Ishqi still couldn't believe what had just happened. 

"Ishqi, jaldi aajao- shaadi ka time hogaya hai" they heard Kartik say from outside the door. As much as Ahaan loved his brother he mentally cursed him for always entering at the wrong time. "Godfather baana phirta hai lekin kaam kebab mein haddi waale karta hai" Ahaan muttered frustrated- Ishqi blushed, "Tum jao mein paanch(5) minutes mein aati houn" she yelled-

Kartik: Theek hai, lekin aap dono jaldi ajana iss se pehle saab upar aajai- he chuckled

Ishqi: Dono? D-dono k-kon Kartik? she stammered while glaring at Ahaan- 

Kartik: Mere se toh mat chupao...Mein jaanta houn undar aapke saath kon hai, he said teasingly while emphasizing on "kon"

Ishqi: A-Aisa k-kuch nahi hai- 

She was cut off by Kartik, "Arrey mujhe kyun explanation de rahi ho"... he paused, "BHAI and Ishqi jaldi aajaiye neeche..okay? bye" he said and headed to the garden giggling- 

Ishqi turned to face Ahaan, her cheeks were crimson red- "C-Chalte hai neeche, ek kaam kijiye...pehle aap jaiye and phir dou(2) minutes mein, mein aati houn...okay?"

Ahaan: Kyun?

Ishqi: Kyun ka kya matlab? Neeche nahi jaana kya?- 

Ahaan: Mann toh nahi kar raha but Mayank ko saaza bhi toh dilvani hai- Chalo- ek saath chalte hai..tum konsa saachi mein Mayank ki dulhan ho- he grasped her hand, unlocked the door and they both headed downstairs. 

Ishqi (inner voice): Yeh naam teen banda mean ko ho kya gaya hai...Lagta hai Mayank ki saachai sunn ke inko itna baara jhatka lagah hai ke saari sharam bhul gaye hai....Yeh undar ho kya raha tha...Agar Kartik na aata toh....Oh God Ishqi! Tu kyun protest nahi kar pa rahi thi? Why were you enjoying Ahaan's closeness? Why'd you want it to always stay that way?! Tujhe kahin Ahaan se...pyaar toh nahi hogaya? Ahaan se pyaar? her heart fluttered at the thought and in that moment her denial went down the drain and she accepted the fact that she was definitely in love with her khadoos, akru, jhagralu naam teen banda mean...

Ahhhhh love...It's a beautiful feeling, Pata nahi kab aur kaise kissi se bhi hojai..and in this case khadoos naam teen banda mean ko ajeeb language bolne waali car chor se hogaya.⚡️
