Days passed by like that, Jay was still waiting for Gia to show up, but still no Gia came up. And now, he realized, he really likes her. He felt an urge to ask her out when he sees her again. He felt the courage to confess to her.
But he knows the consequences if he let his feelings control his body. He knows she won't love him back.

And that day comes, Gia showed up again. Jay saw her, but he can't hide his disappointment, Gia was with a guy. Jay just went to his office and stayed there.
But the man wasn't Gia's boyfriend, it was her brother, an older brother...
And since that day, Jay can't seem to forget about Gia, his feelings are slowly taking over his body.

And one day, he woke up, having these sharp pain in his chest. He didn't let it bother him and just went to his cafe and do his daily routine.
But that day, he never thought Gia would show up. And this time, he decided to talk to her.
"Hi" he said standing in front of the girl. Gia looked at him
"Hi. Uhm I always see you here when I visit. Are you a regular here?" The girl asked, she didn't sound mad or anything.
"Uhm, I own this cafe. I started it after College. May I?" Jay said referring to the seat across the girl. The girl nods
"So, where did you go after College. I didn't get news about you" Jay said looking at the girl
"Ah, I stayed abroad, my brother helped me there. And I came back few months ago." The girl said. Jay smiled. He felt nervous
"Uhmm, do you have boyfriend right now?" Jay suddenly asked that even him was shocked.
"Ah sorry. I never should have asked" He said and was about to stand up
"I don't have." the girl said
"But..Jay.....never mind" Their conversation ended as Jay was needed at the cashier....
That day passes like that. Jay went home and lie on his bed. He suddenly felt pain in his chest, so he cough and cough...His phone rings so he answered it
"Hello *cough*"
"Jay? Are you alright? You sound sick" it was Vix
"I'm *cough* okay *cough*"
"I don't think so. I'll go to your apartment and bring you to the hospital" Vix then end the call. Jay went to the kitchen and drink some water.
After a few minutes, Vix arrived and convinced Jay to check on a hospital..
At the hospital, Jay was at the doctor's room while Vix was waiting outside.
"So, what's the result?" Vix asked as Jay walked out of the room, with sad eyes..
Jay just walked and get into the car with his friend following him
"What happened? Do you have serious findings?" Vix asked as he just got inside the car. Jay was looking outside
"Hanahaki" he said with a low tone. But Vix heard it, he looked at his friend with worried eyes
"T-then...y-you should g-get some surgery" he said stuttering. Jay just sighed. No one talked for a moment.
"It was Gia right?" Vix said, Jay didn't answer
"I guess, I should have told you" Jay then looked at his friend
"What?" He said
"I should have warned you not to fall in love with Gia" Vix said and looked at Jay
"And why? You don't have to feel sorry for not telling me that" Jay said and frowns
"No. I should have."
"Gia fell in love with you during our College years. When the two of you got distant to each other. You went out with different girls right? That's the time she fell for you" Vix said and look down. Jay then frowns again as he looks at Vix
"Then why did you not tell me about that? Then I should have told her that I like her" Jay said, and his voice got louder
"But I only knew that recently. She talked to me at your cafe when you weren't there. She told me everything.
She had that disease, it started with a chest pain, until she started to cough, then to...the day when she cough with petals. She had to make a choice by then, whether she lives or die having that disease."
"And its obvious what she chose Jay, she had the surgery without you knowing. She chose to live. Jay, you can do that too, have the surgery and continue your life" Vix said. Jay was left dumbfounded.
"W-why did I not notice that before? Then...then we won't have to be in this.."
Jay then realized, Gia was going to tell him something but she didn't...maybe she wants to say about it but didn't have the courage to...

As the days passed, Jay was still going at his cafe to work, despite having chest pain and cough.
He still can't decide, he wants to continue living but...he doesn't want to threw away his feelings for Gia.

As Jay was walking along the streets, he saw Gia.
"Hi" he said, smiling.
"I know what you're going through, Jay" the girl said, but Jay just smiled faintly
"Have the surgery" the girl added
"What if...I don't want to?" He said
"I know, by now Vix already told you. Jay, just continue living your life. You don't have to die because of me" the girl said with sad eyes. Jay was just looking at her.
"Talking to you right now, makes me feel happy. Even when you're begging me and talking like that." The man said and smile
"I'd rather choose to live, with me loving you until the day I die, instead of having that surgery removing my feelings for you that I didn't get to show before." Jay said
"I guess, I already made a decision. See you around, Gia" Jay said and starts to walk but Gia hold his hand
Jay looked at the girl
"Please Jay..for me" Gia said, Jay removed her hands and smile before he walks away..
....
Jay was at his room, coughing up petals from his lungs. His condition was getting worse. And his time isn't that long...before the petals filled his lungs, making him unable to breathe.
"Maybe I'm a fool. Choosing love instead of my life. I must've been crazy. Just forget that, all I know is that...I want to die, having these feelings for you, Gia"
