Zyan Pov
I am here, at the backstage, preparing for my performance.
"Zyan, here's the songs we're playing" One of my bandmates said and gave me the paper. Yup, I am a member of a band. I am the vocalist.
I looked at the paper and browsed the songs and get familiarized with it. And one song got my attention.
"Why did they include this?" I said to my mind.
"You okay?" One of my members, Chris said and pat me on the back. I look at him and showed a smile.
"Yup. Just kinda......" I said and look away.
"These were all requested by the students. I was actually worried about you when I saw the list. We can change it if you want" He said.
"No. Its okay." I said and assured him that I was okay.
"Okay then. Be prepared to sing few requested songs later. I'm sure the students will request more songs." He said and gets prepared.
I took a sighed and calmed my self.
We're here at a school since today was their foundation day and asked us to perform.
After a while, the MC was calling us. So we stand in the front and introduce ourselves and did some intro. After that, we played 4 songs and hyped the students.
Everyone was having fun, I tried to focus on the performance but....one person caught my eye.
I know Chris noticed it and kept on glancing at me. After the performance, he stand beside me.
"I saw her. You okay? The next song would really affect you tho." He said. I smiled.
"I know. I'll try not to cry" I said and chuckled.
"So uhmm, the last song that we're gonna play is.. Happier by Ed Sheeran" I said and get prepared. The students then screamed and get into the mood as the music plays.
I sang the first verse and tried to focus.
But as the chorus were approaching, my emotions are starting to get real and real.

As I sing these words, my eyes stayed at one person. That girl, standing at the crowd, looking at me. She's the girl that I loved until now. The girl that I am willing to give up everything just to be with her. We started as friends, became lovers, and now, we're strangers.

My eyes never left her direction. I know, she was looking at me.

The whole song ended, but here I am, still looking at her.
I felt a pat on my shoulder, and that got me into my senses.
"Wooooow, that was an amazing performance. We really felt the emotions of the song. How did you do that Mr. Zyan?" The MC asks. I showed a smile before answering.
"Hmm, maybe I experienced it? Haha, but this song really has a lot of effect on me so maybe that's why I sang this with full emotions" I said then smile.
"Oooh, do you have past relationship that ended and caused you so much heartache?" The MC said.
"Well, yup." I said. And the crowd shouts.
"Who is it?"
"What's her name?"
That kind of questions filled the venue.
So I look at them, and of course, to her.
"Well, I won't say her name. But, she's the only girl that I loved and willing to take a risk. Though our relationship ended, I just hope she's happy with her relationship now." I said.
"Did she have?" The MC ask. I nodded and sighed
"Uhmm, yes. But it's okay, since our story has ended, she can start a new chapter without me" I said and try to force a smile.
And the MC asked the other members also, I turned a round for a second to wipe my face.
"We're now ready to accept song requests. What should we sing?" Chris asks the crowd.
Glad that they asked cheerful songs and not sad songs. I enjoyed the performance. And before we left the stage, I glance at her, but I can't find her. I left the stage as I sigh.
"Good work everyone" Chris said and we did a group hug.
"Let's go homeee" I said and laugh.
"We still need to fix our instruments" Chris said. So we pack the instruments. After packing everything, we left the venue.
Outside the school, we were getting the instruments to the car.
I looked at the school, and sighed.
"Maybe I should leave that memories here. You already found someone else. I should too. Let's meet again, Kali, but this time, me being as a friend to you."
"We're not meant for each other. You were happier with someone, and you wouldn't be happier with me. That's a fact."
" Until we meet again" I said as I smile, leaving the school behind me, and let the memories gles away with the wind..
