Y/n's POV

The past few weeks, question mark, how long has it been? It's all been a blur. Including the walk up these stairs.

I dragged Shuri up the stairs because I felt like that was the thing to do.

I opened the the door to the roof. There were too chairs up there that had a slight green glow to them that quickly faded.

We walked over to them. The sky was such a dark blue that it was basically black. The Tower was so tall That you could see the stars above the lights of the city.

I sat there not knowing what to do. I'm not really one to take control of this kind of situation.

"How are you feeling about tomorrow?" Shuri asked. At least she started the conversation.

"Ah sure it'll be grand," I began thinking aloud. " I wonder how serious they'll be questioning us, will it be recorded? How long will it take? Will I have to be there alone? I don't think they'd get if I joked about it, how else do you respond to that kind of situation?"

I ran my hand through my hair, god I need a shower.

"What am I going to do?" I half whispered.

I felt a hand on my back.

"Hey, don't be like that I'll be here," Shuri whispered to me.

"How are you not freaking out?" I looked at her. She smiled back.

"I'm not sure. I- maybe it'll hit me tonight or something," the way she said it so quickly it blurred the sentences making me laugh.

"What's so funny?" She asked.

"You're not Shuri," I chuckled out.

I watched her face for her reaction. She looked curious as she asked me, it then morphed into confusion but then realisation hit and a smile spread across her face.

"Ha ha very funny," she said jokingly. She got up and pushed her chair so it was right next to mine, making a kind of double chair.

"I meant what I said, I'll be there for you, always."

My heart jumped at the words. She cares a lot. But how fast is this moving? She's definitely determined.

"I wasn't subtle was I?" She said out of nowhe- wait! Fuck.

"How much did I say out loud? How did I even do that without noticing?!" I questioned.

"Don't worry we can take our time."

I sat up and properly faced her.

"Hold on there Your majesty you didn't even ask my out."

"Oh yeah," she mimicked the way I sat and held my hands. "Okay how about we go on a date tomorrow. After the whole thing. We won't be able to leave the tower but we can do a movie day and how about we prank some avengers?"

"Sounds fantastic," I smile.

Then I recognised her leaning in like before. Just as she was getting close enough I leaned back.

"You aren't going to pull a Cinderella and run off again are you?" I teased lightly.

"I- uhh no,"she was just slightly flustered.

"I messing with you. Besides your already royalty so if anything I should be the one running off."

She smiled at that, quickly recovering from my comment. This time I leaned in with her.
