"Hey! What happened sayo? Parang nakakita ka naman ng multo dyan. It's already 12:30 pm. Let's have lunch na." Ella with a concern tone as she opened my clinic door.
"My estranged wife arrived and requested a second chance." Walang gana kong sabi sa kanya.
"By the way besh, okay lang ba na dyan na lang tayo sa café nila Mika maglunch and doon natin pag-usapan yan." Ella asked, as we were heading to the elevator.
"Yeah. Sure."

"Hi EllaDen!" Mika lively greeted upon seeing us entering the café.
"Hello there Arki." Ella reciprocated the energy of Mika.
"Mukhang may paguusapan kayo kaya ako ng bahala magdecide kung anong ilulunch ninyo. Doon na lang kayo sa office ko. Medyo madami kasing tao baka di pa kayo magkarinigan." Mika stated.
We simply nodded and proceeded to her office.
"Do you believe I'm doing the right thing, Besh?" I turned to Ella because I was too frightened to bring up this subject.
"This is something you've been expecting for a long time." She weakly smiled.
"I mean, I've finally realized my ambition. It's the ideal profession. The ideal family. I just assumed I'd be happier."
"Yeah. That's the problem with you being a perfectionist. Nothing's ever gonna be good enough." Sermon niya sa akin.
"I tell myself all the time that I've already made a name for myself as a successful physician. I'm a decent mother to my child. And also I consider myself, to be a supportive wife. I am meant to do this. This is what I'm supposed to do. This is what is expected of me."
"Guess what? You trust your intuitions and follow your instincts. And if there's any part of you that believes that giving her a second chance will magically bring your family back, forget it. So, whatever you decide, just make sure that it will make you feel good.
"I mean, having a complete family is what I've always desired. I'd be fooling myself if I deny what I always wanted."
"Complete but not happy, oks sayo? Alam naman natin na may desisyon ka na. You're just terrified of crossing the bridge. Deserve mong magkaroon ng second chance in life. Talk to your son, besh. I'm confident he'll be able to help you in making your decision and he will understand for sure." Malumanay niyang sabi sa akin.
Natigil kami sa pag-uusap ni Ella kasi biglang pumasok si Mika.
"I'm sorry to interrupt you guys. Maglunch muna kayo. Iserve ko muna ito the labas na ako." Nahihiyang sabi ni Mika.
"No Miks. I suggest that you stay. Actually, I reprimand you to seat with us." Ella playfully smirked.
"Dumating na ba? Anong sabi sayo? Anong naramdaman mo? May spark ba? Sinampal mo ba? Niyakap mo? So ano tell me?" Walang prenong tanong ni Mika.
"Ay bhie. Si Ally paguusapan natin ah? Yung asawa ng taong inaantay mong maging malaya." natatawa sabi sa kanya ni Ella.
Hindi ko na naintindihan yung pinaguusapan ng dalawa while I became engrossed in my thoughts.
It's a shame that we sometimes overlooked the things that are happening around us. Especially in times that things are not going our way, we are easily suffocated by negativity. The tendency that we block all things that we are afraid that will might complicate our lives more even love.
Then there's that one person who will come into your life in the most unexpected day and will simply talk to you at rthe most random time, making you feel at home.
Mika is bound to happen. She is a genuine blend of good and bad. You wouldn't let her pass you by. Someone you wouldn't want other people to have. You don't want to hurt them. Someone with whom you would like to spend the remainder of your life.
"Hello, Den! You've started spacing out once more." Sabay nilang sabi sa akin.
"Para kang sira pangiti ngiti ka dyan. Kanina di mo malaman ang gagawin mo?" pagtutuloy ni Ella.
"Sira! Tell me muna anong nanyari sainyo nung TOTGA ka?" baling ko kay Mika.
"Ah si Alyssa andito kanina nanghihingi ng second chance. Nagpropose pa nga. Nakakahiya ang dami pa namang tao kanina. Willing daw siyang mag-antay, mag yes lang ako." Walang gana niyang kwento.
"Wait! Alyssa? Engr. Alyssa Valdez?" Nagpapanic na tanong ni Ella.
"Yes. Kilala niyo?" sagot niya.
"Ang kapal ng mukha ni Valdez, besh ah! Wag talagang magpapakita sa akin yan." Galit na galit na sabi ni Ella.
"Wait si Ally at si Alyssa ay same person lang?" nagtatakang tanong ni Mika.
"Ah huh." Pagsang ayon ko sa kanya.
"Ang small word noh? Love triangle pala kayo. Noong nireject ni mika sayo naman pumunta. Di niyo deserve na dalawa si Alyssa. Kasi deserve niyo ang isa't isa." Tatawa tawa niyang sabi.
With that, nagkatinginan kami ni mika at sabay napangiti.
"Will you fix us after we fix this?" Tanong sakin ni Mika.
