"I can't marry her"
"S-son, what are you talking about? we just talked about this an hour ago. You're going to get engaged-"
"I said she doesn't want to!" he yells at her. I squint my eyes from that and ask "why don't you just say yes, isn't this what you want?" he turns to me, jaw clenching, fingers curling in anger
"YES! I FUCKING WANT THIS BUT YOU DON'T!" he pointed a finger at me "I don't want to marry someone who was only forced to comply! you're not doing this because you love me, this is for your god damn company, NOT ME!"
"You are so selfish" he spats, tears were shining in his eyes "for wanting me to respect your new decision. I was hurt when you said you can't marry me back then, you saw no future for us but I tried to convince myself it was fine because I already want you for a lifetime"
"And now...you tell me to marry you because of what? for our companies to merge and to help you out of your hellhole, is that it?" my legs turn weak when I saw his tears dripping down to his neck, he sniffled "I have feelings too"
He took steps towards me, his hand found mine "B-but I thought you love me" my voice was shaking, I was stopping my tears
"Yes.."
"But that's not how it works" his hands fell down, hanging in disappointment "there's a right time for us"
He looked at the person behind me "I'm sorry Mrs. Kim, but this is my decision, I am not marrying your daughter"
His mom nods "Faura, our deepest apologizes but if that's what my son decides, then that's it. we can help your company-"
"NO!" she grabs my arm and pulls me behind her, she was growing red "get out! don't you dare show yourself to my daughter ever again, bastard!" I tried to stop her
"Mom-"
Before I could protest, the guards were dragging them out of the house. Taehyung tries to run back to me and I did the same, but even my dad stopped me
I reached my hand out, he as well tried to hold me. "Taehyung!" I plead loudly while crying in my father's arms, he gave me one last glance that was filled with so much love and longing
"I love you" he said before disappearing from my sight
I fall on the ground while sobbing
It's over, I don't know what to do anymore
A week has passed, even at school, I'm aware my mom had me followed. Even Nayeon never showed herself to me as well
I sit at our porch, my mom was trashing the living room as my dad shouts to calm her down. I hug Snow tightly as I felt my chest tighten
She suddenly jumps down and barks
I saw a car pull over, Nicholas who was again not wearing specs. he fixed his hair and approached me
I gulp and see his intense gaze, he holds my hand and makes me stand up "are you ok?" I smile at him while feeling my throat ache from stopping my tears
I heard my mom scream loudly, something shattered from inside, I flinched.
"I'm ok." he saw my tears building up and hugged me, my lips were shaking "it's ok if you're not"
