Drabble/Freewrite #2

Why,

Why did it have to be like this,

It should've been me, not her,

As I watch her fly,

Pain tears at my heart,

As if someone stabbed me in my heart and began twisting it,

All I wanted was to save the world but I never wanted to sacrifice my friend like this,

I never wanted her to be the one to lose it all,

Why did it have to be like this,

After all the things that we've been through together,

After all the lows the we've powered through together,

We forged a bond that could never be broken,

To me you were like a role model,

You were my role model, my partner, and my only friend,

The only person that I felt would have my back all the way,

No matter what, I knew that if we were always together then there was nothing we couldn't do,

I don't know what I can do if you leave me,

I'd feel lost without you,

I'd feel empty without you,

I don't want you to leave,

I want you to stay with me,

I wanted the both of us to experience a world where we can finally be free of the flames,

Free to live out the rest of our lives peacefully,

I never thought that it would come to this,

I hate that it had to be you,

I hate that this is your fate and that there's nothing I can do to change it,

Seeing your tears fall crushes me,

Because we both know this will be our last moment together,

So while I still have the chance to look you in your eyes, I will save face,

I look up at her and smile,

Through all the pain, I want to assure you that I'll be fine,

Even if it is a lie, I want you to rest peacefully,

For now, I can't afford to lose faith,

I must move forward to save my world, our world,

Thank you for everything,

For your guidance, for your friendship, and for your love,

As I watch her finally fade away into the sky, I close my eyes,

Once she was gone, tears forms at the corner of my eyes,

I weep quietly, not making a single sound,

Time passed as I stood motionless at the cliff in from of the lava,

I've come to a revelation,

I open my eyes and stare at the fiery below,

I promise I will keep your memory alive,

Everyone will know what Blaze and I done to fight,

Everyone will know your name,

Until then, I will never stop fighting,

Not until I achieve what we strives for together,

Please watch over me as I continue forward,

May your guidance lead me to peace.

Author's Note: Long time no see. I had the urge to write something for once in my life lol.

Sorry for the long inactivity. Life has been moving and I've been wading along, doing what I can to get by. As time went along, I have been too busy to start writing. Working, school, and other stuff I'm sure most of you can relate to has been taking all of my attention.

Fortunately, I was able to write something. I'm not sure what to call this honestly, it's not a poem or a true one-shot. I guess I could call this a freewrite/Drabble like the last one.

For any confusion, this perspective is from Silver and I'm sure you all know what is going on in this freewrite if you're a Sonic fan. If not, this is the part in Sonic 06 where Blaze becomes the host of Iblis to seal it. She disappears after and I wanted to write what I would think was running through Silver's mind at the time. The writing is trash I know lol, it's my first time writing something in a long while and this isn't my traditional one-shots that I normally write.

Anyway, this is just something for you guys to know that I'm not dead or whatever. Just wanted to give a lil something due to my inactivity.
