Firstly, you want to ask permission from them as they don't like to be summoned out of no where a simple way to do this is with a pendulum you can tell it's them by a particular scent.
Secondly, if you can have salt on hand and if possible make a circle of salt around you this will give you some sort of protection however if you know how cast a protection spell if you don't know how to you can either send me a private message so I can explain or I can write my next chapter on it.
Thirdly, be polite have some manners remember this isn't some fanfic they can kill you.
And finally, just try not to be scared they will most likely not show themselves to you but you will feel their presence.
I can write my next chapter on how to tell which cp it is but ill only be able to tell you from ones I have experienced.
