63. A nice long chat

Start from the beginning

Jasmine nods and quickly moves up the stairs. I can hear her talking to him, but I have no idea what she's saying. My focus goes to the pale man in front of me. "Oh John. You just had to push your luck. If you had just told her in the first place everything could have been avoided, but Noooo you just had to try and fix it yourself."

Grabbing hold of his wrists, I tie them together in knots that will only tighten the more he moves slowly, cutting blood flow off to his hands. I push him forward to start walking and kneel down next to Jace who had been quietly watching the exchange.

"Everything is ok buddy." I try to reassure him, but it doesn't seem to get through his mind. "We will get her back and no one else will get hurt ok... ok. Now do you remember your code name?"

Jace slowly nods, "Yeah its cub."

A sigh of relief escapes my lips when he speaks and I nod encouragingly. Cub needs us to stay positive and find his sister or else his anxiety might just skyrocket like it did on the plane. Honestly he's done so much better than any of us expected, especially with all the dead bodies surrounding us. I just hope he isn't in shock and going to relapse the moment he gets a chance to think.

When we get upstairs I see the girls looking after Mark who has bruises covering his face. The moment his eyes find John's, his face lights up, but it quickly darkens when he notices the ropes tying him. "Is that really necessary? Can't you untie him?"

"I assume he told you when he found out she entered this place." I ask angrily.

He bows his head sadly, "Yes."

My glare deepens, "Then you know exactly why that won't be happening."

John steps in before we start fighting, "It's ok babe, they just need to know I won't be running."

They take a few minutes to treat Mark and then we all pile into the cars heading for a safe house nearby.

Inside the house we sit in a spacious living room with like four couches that are the randomest colors ever all arranged in a square so we can stare at each other while planning.

Jace is so tired that Rosie picks him up to cuddle into her protective arms and nap. Aww they look so cute! Can I sneak a pic? No! Paris, get a hold of yourself, prisoners in the room.

Crossing my legs and arms while sitting back on the couch, "Now first dumbass number one, what the fuck were you thinking?" I demand of John.

He bristles at the title, "So like I told you earlier, during the attack on the school I convinced G that we should save the headmaster to use as her punching dummy because I could tell that she wasn't going to be satisfied with how he would die after all the shit she went through. Last year when all the shit with Ladykiller went down he managed to escape. I had pulled a few of the men I had guarding it to help with the rescue and he took the opportunity to break out.

"Unfortunately, I was an idiot and thought that she didn't need the extra stress on her shoulders and never told her about it. I figured that I could track him down myself without having to worry her. And well you can guess the rest."

Groaning Jasmine yells into the room, "I can't believe you were that fucking stupid. This guy literally trained assassins for a living."

When he still looks confused I keep reprimanding him, "She was his best trained assassin ever and she could never truly beat him not even during the attack. The only reason he was even on the verge of death was because another teacher missed her and stabbed him instead."

Fear dawns on his face at the realization of the man's true strength and he bows his head in shame. "I'm sorry, I thought I was helping."

I shake my head disappointedly, as Jasmine tells him, "Sorry isn't good enough. There's no way out of this for you, you will be tortured and who knows what else."

Turning to the mystery man, I ask the question I've been dying for an answer to since he got here. " Alright dumbass number 2, who the fuck are you and how in the hell do you know G?"

From the empty look on his face, he knows more than he's letting on. "Well to answer your first question I am Le Renard."

Hmm so this is the guy that's been a pain in the ass to G for so long.

"The second question requires a bit of a background. So I work for a clothing design company a few hours away from here. About a year and a half ago I heard the Ghost was active again and was doing jobs in France. I couldn't stand that bitch was working on my territory when she knew that I've been after her for years, so I took time off work to track her. I followed her all over the globe, taking a week off every month to follow her to the next destination, but I never even got close to her...

"4 months ago a woman bought the company and fired an entire floor just because they stopped working and stood up in respect to her. I was on that floor, but completely ignored her and kept working so she made me her personal assistant. The next week she went back to the office to see if he had fulfilled her request for the replacements, but he hadn't. He then revealed her as Rogue and threatened that Ghost would come after her. She killed him then and there in front of me.

"Last week, she had just woken from a nightmare and was telling me about the school that raised her when she started telling me stuff about The Ghost. I got pissed and said that The Ghost should just kill herself. Right before she kicked me out she said, 'If you wanna know the truth, she has things to do and people to protect. She hasn't outlived her purpose just yet.'

"Yesterday, I tried to apologize, but I pissed her off more and she disappeared. Later I got a notification that someone matching the Ghost's description had gone into the warehouse I had tracked down a few months ago, so I hopped in the car and waited for someone to arrive and here we are."

Ugggh, I can feel a headache forming from all this fucking drama! What is this a wattpad book! Ok, ok Jazz and I need to talk. Signaling to her to walk out with me, we leave Thea in charge.

"So how much was bullshit?" Jasmine asks the moment we're in the soundproof office.

"None of it actually. Although the dumbass did try to hide his anger everytime the name Ghost was said. He in no way wants to help or save her. If he finds her he will either kill her or die trying." I inform her.

Jasmine looks shocked for a second, then conceals it as if she had never shown an emotion at all. "Alright then, G knows what he does now so there's no way she'll go around him again, but we could always kill him. Although he seemed extremely frightened when we were talking about the headmaster. "

"He knows something!" We yell together running out of the room.

Hopping over all of the obstacles in my way, I reach the living room first. "Who are you?" I growl into the man's face.

His cautious face drops into a scowl. "Although, I hate to be called it, I am the second of three grandchildren the headmaster had. The third was killed last year, but I was never told how. The title has followed me around since childhood especially during my own training from him."

Cold fear washes through my body making me almost freeze completely, Jasmine continues the questioning though, "How much does he know?"

"All he knows is that I was working for a small company and everyone, but me was fired by the new boss. Oh and he might know about the name Rogue not about Ghost being Rogue though. And that I care about her.

"And who is the third grandchild?" She asks carefully scared of the answer, but we need to know.

Gulping quickly he answers her, "Well we aren't allowed to know each other's code names, but her real name was Ashley. She was his pride and joy until she told him that she fell in love with a girl and wouldn't marry whoever the fuck he set her up with."

Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! G's so dead! We're all so dead!
