Christopher and Adrian had been eating at a seafood restaurant, chit-chatting on various topics.
Then Christopher's cell phone rang loudly, notifying that there was a call.
Christopher, smiling sheepishly at Adrian, looked down at the screen of his cell phone to see who was calling him. It was the Hardin Heights Police Department.
"It's the police," Christopher informed Adrian.
Christopher answered the call. "Hello?"
"Are you Christopher David?"
"Um, yes."
"Please come to the Hardin Heights Police Department.within an hour or less."
"How come do I have - "
"We'll explain when you arrive. Goodbye, Mr. David." The police officer hung up the phone with a clunk.
"I'm sorry, Adrian, but we're going to have to postpone our date," Christopher said with an exasperated sigh. "I must be at the police department in an hour or less."
Christopher and Adrian exchanged goodbyes, then Christopher left in a hurry, hopped in his car, and sped off to the police department, wondering what the hell was going on.
