Can't Feel My Face by The Weeknd
- Willow's POV -
We got back from his parents house and he had been oddly silent the whole ride back.
We stepped into the house and slipped off our shoes before heading up to his room.
He stood in front of the mirror, taking his watch off.
"Lando, what's wrong? You've been acting so weird and you've barely said a word to me since the party" I ask
"I'm just tired"
I walk up to him, spinning him around so I could face him.
"I know but there's something else bothering you"
"Willow I'm fine"
He called me Willow.
"Lan...please just talk to me" I whisper, my voice cracking
"It doesn't matter Will" he says. I could tell he was getting a bit irritated but I didn't care
"Of course it does. If it upsets you this much then it matters" I say while cupping his cheeks with my hands.
"Just tell me. I promise everything will be okay" I reassure him
"But it won't. And you can't make that promise. Because in the end, you're gonna leave me and I won't stop you even though it'll kill me"
I scrunch my eyebrows.
"What on earth are you talking about?"
"You're gonna leave me"
"Are you out of your mind?! No I'm not!" I say, confused
"Can we just drop it?" He asks
"No! You can't just fucking say that and expect me to ignore it!"
"Will, I'm tired, I don't want to do this right now"
"You know, I'm starting to think you want us to break up. Every time we're in a good place, you find a new problem. Do you even love me or are you just pretending?" I spit out and when I see the sudden pain on his face, I instantly regret it.
"Yeah okay, Will. Good night" he says and grabs a pillow before leaving the room.
"Lan! Lando! You know I didn't mean it like that! Lan, I'm sorry!" I shout as I follow him into the guest room.
He doesn't say anything.
"After everything that we've been through, you still question my love for you" he says
"No, I didn't mean it like that. I swear. It just came out. I was angry"
"Anger brings out the truth" he says and I feel my heart crack
"Lando I love you. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry"
"I'd say I love you too but you wouldn't believe me, so I'll just save it" he says making me wince
Lando isn't a rude person. He was the kindest, sweetest soul you'll ever meet. He was just extremely moody. When his good day has been ruined, he becomes brutal.
And he knows exactly which button to press.
His words could kill.
