Lando was about to get in his car but I rushed to him before he sat down.
"Lando!" I yelled and he turned to look at me
I reached for his right hand and interlocked our pinky fingers together causing both of our hands to curl up into a fist. I pull my fist towards my lips and place a kiss on it, he does the same but with his side.
We release our hands and he looks at me with a confused smile painted on his face.
"That was my dad and I's handshake before any big events. It was my good luck charm and his way of saying 'no matter what happens, I'm proud you'." I explain quickly and he smiles, pulling me in for hug before sliding down into his seat.
He slips on his balaclava and helmet and I leave the pit lane.
I headed over to join my friends and family.
I watched as the cars got into position and and the lights turned red one by one. They went out and the drivers rushed off.
We watched on the tv as the camera panned across the track.
Lance had overtaken two drivers moving him up to P7.
