Khushi: Arnavji, as per the contract...
Arnav: I know what is written, I'm the one who finalised it. But can we please forget everything for the time being and go to bed instead. You will also be able to think with a clear mind if you actually want to go through with the contract.
Khushi opened her mouth to protest but Arnav was quicker.
Arnav: Khushi, this is our last night here like this. Can I please soak in all the memories - good and bad, just for tonight? I need this to help me get through tomorrow and the years to come.
Khushi saw how vulnerable he was and realized that everything else could obviously wait. She gave in and slept snuggling against his chest.
Arnav knew her resolve had started to crumble and tomorrow he would strike the final blow. She will be hurt and he hated being the one to hurt her again but she needed to understand. With these thoughts, he soon drifted to sleep.
