Mark was in goals, trying not to think about his failure. If he failed to recruit enough players the club might get disbanded.

He tried to keep his mind off it by training the little kids. Why couldn't they have the same passion for soccer that he did?

Most of the team had given up anyway, lounging in the clubhouse talking and playing on their phones.

Mark was snapped back into reality when all of a sudden he heard some shouting.

Two older dudes were shouting at the little kids and threatening to hurt them. Mark went over and tried to sort it out.

"Sorry,"he bowed, trying to show respect. "Can you give our ball back please?"

As soon as he knew it, Mark was doubled over in pain. The two guys had kicked him in the gut.

"Please don't hurt them!"he struggled to breathe as he was winded.

The older teenagers snickered at launched the ball at a little girl on the bench. She screamed, but before the ball could hit her, there was a burst of fire as the ball launched itself at the bullies head.

Mark was in shock. How did this happen? How could the ball move like this by itself? Mark wasn't questioning for long when a silver haired boy the same age as him revealed himself. He was the one behind the amazing kick.

Mark was in shock. He had to have him on the team. His kick was legendary. And it helped that he was really good looking.

Despite the pain he was in, a grin formed on Mark's face. He couldn't help but smile. This boy was the key to their success. But even if he wasn't, Mark was interested to get to know him anyway.

The boy smiled to himself and started to walk away. Mark chased after him.

"Hey! Do you play soccer for anyone? If you don't, you should!"Mark exclaimed. "You've got to come and practice with us, you're awesome!"

The boy just looked slightly annoyed and walked off without saying anything. Mark was confused.

"Hey! Wait!"Mark yelled, but it was no use.

The boy seemed set on ignoring him.

Mark was slightly upset, but he tried to ignore it as he walked home. Thinking about the boy made him feel warm inside, even if he was rude and ignored him.

Mark had a natural charisma, so he figured he'd eventually convince the boy to join his team, or at least hang out with him.

"He was amazing,"Mark told the picture of his grandpa. "Uh, the kick was amazing. The guy behind the kick was pretty amazing too. I'm definitely going to convince him to join the team. Somehow!"

The picture of his grandpa was still. Mark was stupid to still expect it to talk back. He laughed to himself.

"Mark! Come downstairs!"his mom yelled.

Mark stared at the picture of his grandpa again.

"I will meet him again, i'm sure of it!"he grinned as he bounced down the stairs.
