Chapter 6- The Spirit Mission

Jonas' P.O.V.

I was afraid to tell Caleb about what was happening, but I had to. There was no easy way of putting it besides just saying it. It had to be done. I didn't want to be the only one who knew about it. "Babe, there is no easy way to put this. Whatever you do, don't over react."

"Now why would I ever over react Jonas? The only thing I would over react to is if you left me."

I was very hesitant to telling Caleb, but I eventually came to my senses. "There is a spirit named Collin that is going after Sam. He wants to control her and make her life a living hell. I heard he chose Sam because of her deep dark brown mysterious eyes. We need to do our job and protect Sam. She already knows; I had this conversation with her before."

"J, what exactly are we supposed to protect her? I thought spirits were invincible" I could barely understand this because Caleb was crying with her face buried into my bare chest.

"With the both of us together, we can defeat Collin. It's possible to kill a spirit, but it is difficult. I don't want to use you, but you would have to be the bait for me to catch him. I just want to forewarn you that you could possibly get hurt. We both know that I would never want you to get hurt, but this is for the safety of a mortal. I was raised up by putting mortals first, then other wolves, then yourself." I knew this was difficult for her to hear, but it was evidentially for everyone's safety.

Caleb was trying not to show emotions when she talked. She said, "So this means that we have to protect Sam from an evil spirit? I don't want to sound mean, but this sounds fun and cool. I'm going to be in my first mission ever as a wolf!" That sentence made me laugh when I heard it.

Later that night, we were outside of Sam's house. We had all but two wolves with us for protection. At the time, Caleb was the only girl in the pack so it made me somewhat nervous. With Caleb as the bait, all the guys would fight even harder because they were all attracted to her. Nobody wanted to see her get hurt.

Caleb was in a bright blue bikini to get Collin distracted. Once Collin started to invade Caleb's body, I went in for the kill. It was a five minute fight for life or death; naturally, I won. Collin was gone forever and would never come back.

All I could say was that the next few days were intense. I would never forgive myself for what happened.
