Chapter 74: Reunions, Jealousy, and Third First Impressions

Start from the beginning

"If you weren't with Hank, who do you think you'd be with?" Peter asked.

I could feel heat rise up to my cheeks and the group got excited. I looked around the group and scanned my options.

Peter? God no he's just too energized. I could never keep up.

Kurt? No, I'd traumatize the poor guy.

W- Nope.

I looked at Erik and I started to throw up in my mouth. Erik's jaw dropped and he looked so offended. Peter just whispered, "understandable".

Scott? No, I feel like we would both get sick of each other after like a month.

Sean? Absolutely not. He is on razor thin ice, so no.

My eyes fell on Hank and he looked at me with these goddamn puppy dog eyes. Oh no. I looked away and immediately felt guilty as my gaze settled on Alex. I hate to have to feed into my husband's insecurities, but I have to tell the truth.

"Alex," I spoke avoiding eye contact with both Alex and Hank.

Alex leaned forward and grabbed the coin from Peter while giving me a confused and concerned look. Alex flipped the coin and it landed heavily on the floor revealing a heads.

"So... what's the question?" Alex asked awkwardly.

"If I wasn't with Hank-" I paused and watched a look of understanding cross everyone's faces. Hank's expression fell and he looked crushed. Erik suddenly seemed quite pleased with what had transpired.

"Oh-" Alex spoke looking like a deer in headlights.

"Well, I think it's my turn to ask a question," I announced. Everyone nodded awkwardly. I leaned towards Erik and whispered, "If you could switch bodies with anyone here, who would you switch with?"

Erik looked around the group with a look of distaste on his face.

"Hank," He spoke confidently.

Hank grabbed the coin from Alex and quickly flipped it to reveal heads.

"If I had to switch bodies, I'd switch bodies with you. I'd like to be tall," Erik explained.

The game continued less and less questions were revealed causing all of us to be a bit paranoid. Soon Hank was asking Warren a question. He leaned and whispered a question to Warren. Before Hank could pull away Warren answered with zero hesitation.

"You," Warren stated firmly.

Hank looked at him incredibly confused and alarmed. He looked like he was in the middle of having a heart attack. Hank quickly grabbed the coin and flipped it to reveal heads.

"Did you question backfire on you McCoy?" Alex teased. Hank gave him a death stare and Alex quickly turned away.

"The question was... who is most likely to cheat on their partner..." Hank spoke awkwardly.

My eyes widened and my jaw dropped a little. Warren thinks that... what?

"Warren? Do you know something I don't?" I asked in disbelief.

"Look at him, do you see how jealous he got just then? He'd do just about anything to get your attention back on him. I just think, he's not the best you could get..." Warren admitted.

"I am so glad I came here, this is so much more entertaining than MTV," Sean announced.

"Moving on," Kurt spoke trying to regain the groups attention. With some effort Kurt got everyone to focus on the game again. Rounds continued and more secrets were revealed.

"Okay, guys last question!" Peter announced noting that everyone was starting to get tired.

Scott leaned in and asked Alex a question. Alex looked around the groups and his eyes locked onto mine. Oh shit.

"Crimson," Alex spoke confidently.

I leaned forward and took the coin hoping for once that the question wasn't what I thought it was. I flipped the coin high into the air and it landed on the floor to reveal tails. The question remains a secret, but is that really a good thing?

Hank got up from his seat much quicker than everyone else and he walked towards me and reached out his hand. I grabbed onto it and he lead me out of the room. We walked towards our room at a much quicker pace than usual. Along the way Charles peeked his head out of his room.

"You two have fun?" Charles asked with a sly grin.

"Nope," Hank answered sternly. Charles quickly ducked back inside his room and shut his door quite loudly.

Hank pulled me quickly towards our room. As soon as we entered our room Hank pushed me up against the door. He leaned forward and started to kiss my jaw and then he made his way down to my neck.

"Not that I don't appreciate this, but are you okay?" I asked pushing him away just a little bit.

"I'm gonna prove that I deserve you, they're right I'll do ANYTHING to make sure I've got your attention," Hank spoke in a low voice sending a tingle up my spine. Hank leaned in again and kissed my collarbone. He moved quickly starving with desire.

"Feeling toxic?" I teased.

"Mhm," Hank replied his lips still on my bare skin.

Author's Note:

I know it been a while, but my motivation has been dwindling. I figure it's best to wait a week and write something good than to rush a bad chapter.

I've said it before, I'll it again. Hank McCoy is the most jealous man ever. He just can't handle  having to compete for someone's affection.
