you decide to go downstairs as your mom is walking into the house.

"so i texted that boy that reached out to me."

"oh that's great. what did he say?

"he invited me to fly out to Los Angeles to hang out with him and his friends to see if i'm a good fit to work with them. all of the travel expenses are paid by him."

"well before you answer him that's something we need to ta-"

"i know i'm sorry, i should've asked you first. there were just so many emotions going through my head, i just had to say yes."

"y/n, you're 18, you are going to be going to college, not becoming an influencer."

"just because i go visit them for the weekend doesn't mean i'm going to decide not to go to college. it's just to get a feel of them and how they are. and who knows, maybe they won't even like me."

"fine. you can go this weekend. but you better make good choices."

you walk back up to your room and stare at your closet.

flipping through shirt after shirt, you can't seem to find any that really catches your eye.

until you see a pretty black tank top that has criss crossed straps in the back

perfect. not to fancy but also not boring.

next, you grab a silk dress that you have yet to wear.

maybe we will go out to dinner?

after looking through your closet for a few more minutes, you finally get together two outfits.

you lay them out on your bed and turn to your dresser.

scattered across the top of your dresser lay multiple pieces of jewelry.

admiring each of them one by one, you decide on 1 necklace and 4 rings

next, you go over to your vanity. you don't own a lot of makeup. just mascara, lipgloss, and highlight because that is all you ever wear.

i feel like this isn't enough makeup for LA

after having second thoughts about the stuff you're deciding to bring, you facetime daria to get her advice

"so thomas texted me and i texted him back"

"no way what did he say?"

"he is flying me out tomorrow to meet with everyone to see if i'm a good fit to be apart of the hype house."

you show her the outfits, jewelry, and makeup you are bringing.

her saying that made you laugh. ending the call you go into the bathroom to shower.

"hey siri, play my shower playlist on apple music."

placing your phone back on the bathroom counter, you step into the shower.
