This chapter is in Theo's pov

It was only ten in the morning and the only thing I was able to hear was the loud clicking of glasses and toasts.

My guess is that how every Bulgarian wedding is like, but I have no experience with this.

My first is my own and my knowledge was limited to what Elliana had told me.

And Elliana told me only the basics.

Unlike me, my brother was enjoying the day so far and was taking everything thrown his way.

It didn't matter if it was a shot or half a watermelon. Lucas was there for it.

I was sitting alone in my room, nervous is the less I can say, in Elliana's uncle house, finishing up with my appearance. Checking once again if I was good to go I walked out of the door only to be greeted by Pavard and Ante with hands full of food.

Yeah, grandma Elena found them as well.

I swear, if we stay here for a few more days we will have to hit the gym harder than before after all of the delicious meals we have eaten.

" You ended up in a nice family, Theo. Invite us over more often."

Ante was feeling more than ever like it was his home, but it's probably the Balkan mindset and all.

" Nah, I am moving in with you."

" I have one child already, Ben. I don't need another one."

We came downstairs and walked straight into the kitchen, loud music was playing in the background and we were basically forced to scream in order to hear what we were saying.

" Papa! Papa!"

Mateo ran up to me and grabbed me by the ankle, before he started pulling me into the direction where he came from just a moment ago.

" Papa, uncle hid somewhere and I can't find him now."

My two year old cried and started tugging on my leg even more.

" Or we just can leave him there. He will get hungry at some point."

I messed with his hair a bit and picked him up in my arms.

In all honesty though, it will be nice for Lucas to end the hiding soon. We have lo leave in ten minutes.

Nine and a half now.

" Boo!"

As on call, my brother showed from behind me and scared Mateo, which earned him a smack on the back of his head.

" Let's go get your bride."

...

Finally making it to the front door, after climbing up the stairs to the fifth floor, I felt like I was breathing again.

What I did doesn't seems like a lot, but when you have musicians and tons of cousins behind you, it becomes a challenge.

A new was expecting me in the face of Elliana's younger brother, who was holding a knee high boot in front of him, ready for me to empty my pockets.

The tradition says that the groom should fill the bride's shoe with money and only when the person standing by the front door is satisfied, that's when he gets inside and gets to see his girl.

Note how I said shoe, but Ivan had something else in mind with that boot.

" Oh, my man!"

Ante high fived the young boy after catching up on what was going on.

" Take all his money!"

" Come on Theo! I know you have some more in your left pocket."

Both Bens chanted form behind me and laughed seeing that my fiance's brother wasn't giving up yet.

" Okay, okay that's enough. I am not counting all the fivers you put in here."

Ivan moved aside and I was finally going to see Elliana.

The woman I am going to call my wife in just a few hours was standing in the centre of the room, with Mateo in her arms.

The little guy ran straight inside the moment we arrived at the apartment complex, and went to search for his mother.

He was Mama's boy for sure.

" They let you inside earlier than I expected."

" Amazing what a bit of money can't do, right?"

...

The ceremony was in the cherry garden nearby the hotel we chose for the reception later.

All of the guests were seated and I made sure that every single footballer was sitting at the very back.

We don't need Mason and Jadon to catch all of the attention in the worst way possible, because one of them caught his clothes on fire or something.

However, I am still able to hear the sobbing despite the distance.

With the corner of my eye, I saw Sergio trying not to cry and Pedro handing him a napkin.

On the other side, two seats away Manuel was holding on to Sveta, in attempt to not let her go and drink all the champagne before we are pronounced wife and husband.

Looking into the direction I had my eyes in, Elliana turned to look what was happening.

" They have to have all the eyes on them."

" It doesn't matter as long as I get to kiss you at the end."

The summer before my last year in high school started 😭😭

Anyway, this was the end of the story and I would love to thank you all for the support you showed me. Love you so much❤️
