You held a hand up to your chin while nodding slowly, sort of like a genius would. Which was something you weren't.
"Miss gurl. I get you trying to protect Eren because like, you know. It's Eren we're talking about. However you gotta start having trust in him, let him do some stuff so he can get stronger. That way you won't have to worry about him as much," you informed the strong girl who stood to your right, "plus if he gets hurt he'll heal, eventually."
Mikasa simply looked down feeling a bit embarrassed, probably because the dumbest person from the cadets was lecturing her. Unlike Eren who agreed until you somewhat indirectly insulted him.
"What do you mean it's me we're talking about-"
Turning towards Eren you placed a finger on his lips to get him to shut up.
"Now, Mister Bombastic." You started, "You have to understand that you are kind of Mikasa's family. She cares for you and wants the best for you. I understand what it's like to have someone who is stronger to look after you, they may show it in odd ways that may be annoying. But they are giving their best attempt to help you. Next time, try using your words to describe what you want or how you are capable of doing it." You tried explaining to the angry german boy, using the slight experience you had with Levi.
Mikasa shows her affections and that she cares for Eren by helping him out with everything. Such as physical labor. However, your brother was rougher, with all the training and strictness.
"It may sound stupid, but it does help. It's much better than yelling at each other, it eh-you know. So, both of you, try talking things out. Be less violent and try to understand each other's point of view."
After scolding them you had forced them to apologize to each other. Once it was all settled you turned towards Bertholt who was the one who knew about what was needed for the chore. "Okay, big boy. What is it that we need? After all, you are the expert in this matter." You nudged the giant.
"Of course," he turned towards Eren and asked for their usual crate. One that was filled with vegetables such as potatoes and carrots for the stew. No wonder there was no flavor, there were no spices. Then again this is a place full of white people. White people who barely even have salt.
(reminder that it was mentioned in the series, how they could sell so much salt with the ocean and stuff. Uh yea,)
Once everything was settled Bertoto double-checked that everything was there and that nothing was stolen. Especially since there was a whole competition to impress Commander Pixys. So there may be a possibility of the competitors stealing items they need. Before the two of you could head to the kitchen a familiar scent hit your nose. Something from your world. It was a little baggy.
"What's this?" you picked it up and opened it slightly.
Your question got Eren's attention, "it's something that they use in hopes of warding off any animals or something. The taste is supposed to be terrible along with its smell." He looked inside the little baggie, "I recommend you don't touch them, they burn your eyes."
It was then that it clicked. Now you aren't an expert but you do have some basic knowledge. These are little chili peppers things or as one of your friends' mom would call, chile de arbol.
Damn these bitches have no seasoning and don't know about spice.
"Yeah, I'll keep that in mind."
Now I can really make this soup spicy.
"We should get going," Bertolt interrupted your thoughts and glanced in a direction. With that, you placed the small bag into your pocket for what can be used in future events.
