Vani woke up in a haze and could hear a weird sound and lots of noise, it was dark in her room and She could hear Briar's even breaths coming from her bed across the room. Their dorms used to house three students before the new buildings were functional, but Briar and Vani were fortunate enough to share the large room just the two of them. Vani was confused until a loud pounding came on her door.

"That is the fire alarm people! Up and out, RIGHT NOW! FIRE ALARM!" The RA from the end of the hall called while pounding heavily on the doors as she passed by. Vani sat up instantly alert and looked over at Briar who was checking her phone for the time.

"It's like two in the morning!" She whined.

"EVACUATE THE HALL, EVACUATION, EVACUATE." A loud booming voice entered their ears and both girls jumped out of their beds and raced for the door. Briar picked up her boots that she never put away and Vani just rushed her along Briar thoughtfully scooped up the only foot ware she had in her path for Vani and the girls joined the crowd leaving the building.

Standing outside in the snow, Vani was grateful that Briar had thought to grab shoes for her but was freezing cold since they were Briars shower shoes, basically just flip flops. Briar offered to trade but Vani couldn't get her wide feet into the narrow boots. Vani tugged at her sweater that she swore was only covering half as much of her as it had in the comfort of her own room. Was it shrinking in the cold? Her legs were completely bare and the sweat shirt just barely came an inch below her freshly bruised, panty clad butt cheek.

"Students!" a loud speaker assisted voice bellowed over the crowd. "We are working on getting you a warm place to wait out the investigation. Please share the blankets that are being passed around." Vani looked for someone handing out blankets planning on snagging one at the first opportunity. She saw the high-vis vest of the safety officer coming around and handing blankets out, she waited for him to come closer which was her first mistake. She watched him quickly unburden himself of the wool blankets leaving his arms empty by the time he was face to face with her.

"I SWEAR!" She yelled raising her hands over her head quickly, which was her second mistake. She felt the cold air hit her navel and remembered that she was only half covered. She had exposed her panties to the entire group who were looking at her now because she was yelling. She swung her hands down so fast she lost her balance slightly and in her attempt to prevent herself from ending up bare assed in a snow bank She grabbed RC by the neck ad threw him under her to break her fall. She didn't think it was intentional, but it still resulted in her straddling him in a snowbank with her baby blue panties on display.

Briar brought her a cup of hot chocolate from the table set up for them in the student center. They had been shuttled over to the weirdly modern building and ushered into the student facilities room which was essentially a board room that could be divided with an accordion wall and was used by student groups for meetings and other club 'whatsy-nonsense' as Vani's Grandmother would have called it. The room wasn't  set up to accommodate the group so people set to work making a hot drink station, finding chairs, and helping the tired displaced students settle in. Vani didn't care if the hot chocolate was powdered and too watery she was cold and sore and tired. She had found a blanket, or rather someone had forced it into her hands after putting her booty on full display. She settled with Briar in a quiet-ish corner and watched the somehow fully-dressed-coat-AND-boot-wearing girls huddled together with concern faces that rivalled an anime character. They all had big doe eyes and shivered in their warm jackets.

Vani shook her head with a laugh.

"Maybe that is why I can't get a date." She pointed to the girls.

"Because you don't have a jacket that cost more than my car?" Briar asked.

"No because I'm not all doll-like and cutesy. I don't live stream and caption it 'afraid for my life' or 'firefighter: heros who run INTO burning buildings' with a picture of the fire fighters on the steps of my dorm with a flashing pink arrow pointing that says "my room 'Sad face'" Vani rolled her eyes.
