Chapter 43

I called Matt. I know it was a bad idea but he was always there to save me.
"Hello?" He asked in his raspy voice.
"Matt its Emma."
"What do you want."
"I'm in trouble."
"What?!"
"I'm at a party and the guy I went with is being a total dick. Will you come and pick me up."
"Unbelievable I tell you everything, than you go off with another guy, now your in trouble ,and you need me to get you out of your own mess."
"Matt please."
"How bad is it?"
"Pretty bad alcohol everywhere and he wants to have you know."
"Sex?"
"Yes Matt but I don't want to."
"Where are you?"
"21 West avenue."
"I'll be there in 20 minutes."
"Thank you so much."
"You owe me."
"What do you want?"
"You."
I hung up the phone and snuck out the window. I quietly waited outside for him. He pulled up and I ran into the car. Ethan came out just as I got in the car. "Emma where the fuck do you think your going."
"Matt drive."
Matt stepped on the gas and we were gone with in 20 minutes. We pulled up to his house. "Matt can you take me home." "Your not safe there he's gonna come after you and hurt you."
"Is this just an excuse to get me to stay?"
"Sort of."
He leaned in and crashed his lips to mine. We opened his car doors and went in his house his family was gone for the night so we went in. He crashed his lips on mine. I jumped on his hips and he carried me up stairs to his bedroom we took off our clothes and we all know what happened next.

I woke up the next morning next to Matt. I turned over and put my head in his chest. There was a knock on his bedroom door.
"Matt its Kristen can I come in."
Matt woke up and realized I was beside him.
"No Kristen."
"Matt if your trying to hide Emma there is no need to, we all know she's here."
I put on some clothing I left at his house. I sat on his desk chair and played on his phone while he put pants on. He opened his door and Kristen came in and closed the door behind her.
"Mom and Dad are furious."
"Why?"
"You guys had sex."
"How do they know that."
"You butt dialled them."
"What!"
"Matt!" I screamed.
Matt and I went downstairs to see his parents.
"Is there anything you want to tell us Matthew?" Mr. Espinosa asked.
"We've had sex a few times."
"Emma is that true?" Mrs. Espinosa asked.
"Yes Mrs. Espinosa"
"We will discuss this later Matthew."
"Bye Mr. and Mrs. Espinosa."
"Bye Emma."
We walked out of the house.
"Are we back together?" He asked.
"Yes but I swear Matt if I ever see sucking face with another girl I will leave your sorry ass and never come back. Are we clear."
"Crystal."
I got in his car and we drove off. We pulled up in my driveway and he let me out. I kissed his cheek and walked up the steps.
"Hey Emma, where have you been?"
"At Matt's."
"Your dating again."
"Yes."
I walked up
To my room and had a shower. I got out of the shower and put some pyjamas and went to sleep.

Wednesday
I woke up and got ready for school I put on a black crop top and some white shorts and some high heel booties. I walked downstairs and made some breakfast. I opened the door and walked to school.
I traveled to my first class and waited for morning announcements.
"Hello everyone hope you day is going well. I am very happy to announce our honor roll students. Congratulations to Emma Dallas, Matthew Espinosa, Katrina Giovanni, Logan Bradbury, Jack Gilinsky, Cassandra (Cassie) Tucker, Jeffery Donaldson...... and the list went on for what felt like hours but was only 5 minutes. Class was finally over. I walked over to my locker to find Ethan. I confidently walked over to my locker and got my purse.
"Hey babe, how are you?"
I didn't answer because I wanted to pretend that he wasn't there.
"Answer me Whore!!" He screamed while pushing me up against the locker.
"Get your hands off her!" Gilinsky screamed.
"Who are you?" He asked.
"Your worst nightmare if you hurt her."
"How bout like this." He said punching me in the face.
"Emma!" Matt screamed.
Gilinsky and Matt started fight with Ethan until he had defeated them he came over to me and started kicking me and punching me. Then everything went black.

I woke up a few hours at home. I had a huge headache and my face hurt. Matt, Cameron and Gilinsky were all in my bed. I slowly got up and looked at the time it was 11:00. I groaned and went over to the bathroom. I looked at my face and almost screamed ,but then I remembered the boys were still sleeping. I had split lip and a black eye.
I started to cry. How could I let someone hurt me like that? I thought Ethan cared? I guess not. I thought we had something? Not like Matt and I's relationship ,but something. Small. I started to get really upset. Worthless. Stupid. Weak. Ugly. Fat.
I started to get really upset and at this point I needed to cut. It had been a little under a few months since I cut. I found something sharp and dragged it along my skin just as I did Matt came in the bathroom.
"Emma! What's wrong? What are you doing?" "I'm sorry." I managed to squeeze out. He brought me into a hug.
"Shhhh.... Emma it's okay I'm here."
"What's going on?" Gilinsky asked.
"She cut." Matt replied.
"I'm sorry."
"Hey there's no need for you to be sorry." Jack replied.
Matt picked me up and brought me over to my bed he put me down and laid beside me. Gilinsky laid at my feet and Cameron had went downstairs to find a bandage.
Matt played with my hair and rubbed my back.
"Matt are we still going to prom together?" I asked.
"Yes if you want to go."
"I wanna go."
"Well Emma Dallas will you go to prom with me."
"Yes."
My eyelids felt heavy. I drifted off to sleep
