Chapter 36

It was finally Monday.
I put on a tank top and shorts and grabbed my bag.
Maria and I had became very good friends. Gabriella had finally transferred here and I had met a girl named Katrina. We had a special relationship. We were like sisters. I got here back she's got mine.
After school Katrina and I walked home.
"You know, we should join a cheer team maybe cheer competitively."
"That would be so cool."
"Well my cousin runs a cheer school. She could give us a discount. If you want."
"Yeah, totally lets try it."
"Well, do you wanna head over there now."
"Sure. Where is it."
"Just around the block."
We walked around the block and saw the gym. She opened the door and we walked in.
"Hey Nina, you here."
"In here Kat."
"Hey Kat what can I do for you?"
"My friend Emma and I would like to join the cheer team."
"Okay. Emma are your parents okay with this."
"Nina her parents have died."
"Oh my goodness. I so sorry."
"Don't worry bout it. Yeah my brother should be okay with it."
"Okay. Cheer auditions are tomorrow. To tryout you need to wear a sports bra and yoga shorts."
"Okay. Sounds good see you tomorrow." Katrina replied.
"Bye" I said.
"Bye." she said.
We left the studio and walked home. I walked Kat to her house and headed straight for Matt's. I knocked on his door and his sister let me in. I walked up to his room and knocked on his door.
"Hey babe it's Emma."
"Come in."
I walked in and sat on his bed.
"Whatcha doin"
"Checkin Twitter."
"I'm trying out for the cheer team."
"Really"
"Yeah, Katrina and I."
"That's exciting."
"Matt is something wrong your acting a bit strange."
*Pause*
"Babe you can tell me anything."
*pause*
"Matthew please talk to me. are you hiding something show me your face."
He turned his head and he had a black eye and a split lip.
"Baby what happened."
"I got into a little fight."
"With who."
"Max."
"Matt I told you to stay away from him."
"Well he was spreading rumours and calling you a slut, bitch, and a whore.
I got angry. I'm sorry."
"Hey, Matt there is no need to be sorry. You were protecting me and I admire that."
I sat over on his lap and we made out.
It was getting late so I left and went home.
"Hey Cameron."
"Hey sis. Where you been."
"At Matt's."
"Cool."
"Can I tryout for the cheer team?"
"Yeah, sure. Just don't hurt yourself."
"Thank Cam."
I sat down beside him and put my head in his chest. I fell asleep.
